@@matthewplace7329 Oh I didn't mean that it wasn't already emotional, just that the music added to it. This scene was already perfect and remains one of my favourite scenes from the classic era, it's one that truly represents how the doctor has to leave behind the people they love. 😊
@@TroyPacelli ah, Remember that lol. What about big finish? 8 and susan meet up, Susan even has her own solo series and a story about the days after she was left on earth by the doctor
@@etaidade3983 Yeah, the Big Finish stuff is generally considered non-canon, too. At least until something in an episode confirms it. For example, Eight's companions from the audios were name-dropped in Night of the Doctor. That makes their EXISTANCE canon, though not necessarily all the stories they appeared in.
@@TroyPacelli Thats a very pedantic view of things. I mean, big finish is referenced quite a lot throughout the nuwho show, and even when it isnt, its a bit strange to me to discount many many many great stories, especially when they're played by the original actors (although thats not always the case) just cause its not the tv show mdr
Yep, the good old land of television where people get married after only knowing each other for a couple of days. If she does return as rumored, I'd like to see the Doctor ask about David and find that she broke up with him after a couple of weeks. If the Doctor thinks she was dead, it would get around 10's farewell tour.
Oh god, so flat minded. The case isn't in David at all, it's about Susan. She always wanted to live normal teen-age life. It's her storyline since first episode. She doesn't wanted leave 1963, school and her life there. But the Doctor didn't listened to her. And only after travel with Ian and Barbara, he realize, Susan needs different life. David is only represent youth love, maybe they broke up in the end, maybe not, it's normal human (or not really) life. With mistakes, and uncertainty, but with home and stillness.
This scene is already so emotional but this theme makes it even more so! 😢 Thanks for this! 😊😊
I know right! 😭 and your welcome
Really.. I think it was perfect without it

I wish we had gotten a follow up on this. Yeah, I know the non-canon media has tried, but we had so many chances since 2005.
non canon media?
@@etaidade3983 Yes. For example, "Whatever Happened to Susan Foreman?"

Oh my heart, that was beautiful 🥲❤❤
Yes, nice positive message. Unlike today that is all about selfishness and if you are not gay then you are homofobic and a biggot.
hm fits suprisingly well. The OG is still the best tho. but nice work
Wow it fits well!
Are we going to acknowledge the sign that mentions dumping bodies in the river?
Ikr but that was a plot point in the episode 💀
That's called Creative and Poinyent World Building. Something Modern/Nu Who sorely lacks.
