    i like how on hole 15 paul managed to not get his clothes dirty by pouncing on all fours as he was falling down, wouldn't want to ruin his swag.

      +Alex Padilla i honestly think the pressure of the grand slam was getting to him. paul seemed so stressed. every throw must have felt like it had the weight of the world riding on it.

    10:50 Mcbeth falls forward putting from his knees both hands and at least one elbow hits the ground in front of the disc. Was he inside 30?

      probably 34 footer. I count his steps at about 12 to the basket. very close though. I wonder if he checked before the putt.

    Whats the putter Ricky threw on hole 1 Harp, shield, or Mercy? And whats that green midrange Coleglazier is throwing? A Verdict or fugitive?

    Start of hole 16 (42:39) Colglazier is -15, then he shoots 4 on 16 and is now -13 (44:46)? One of those scores must be wrong.

    just wondering if anyone can give me a quick tip...ive watched wysocki's clinic but the one thing that eludes me is how he gets so much forward projection on his putts...I putt like ricky )not on purpose but that's just how my pitch is) but they fly more like paul's..which is great in calm weather and im getting better with wind but it would be nice to get that great forward low projection like ricky. any tips?

    • @alf21124
      @alf21124 Před 8 lety

      +Synapsis just watch how he putts if you putt like him you should catch on quick. almost everything in putting is subjective except for nose angle and follow thru/release. whatever works or feels comfortable for you. it wouldnt matter if you could putt like ricky or paul as long as you are extremely consistent from circles edge.

      @rennlc Před 8 lety

      I think what separates Ricky's putt from other immaculate looking putts is his physical size, particularly because the most similar putt to his comes from another tall player in Jeremy Koling. What I'm curious about is how Ricky is able to putt so remarkably cleanly regardless of the situation. When Paul is really stressing over how he's playing and the pressure is high, he tends to occasionally wobble his putts (and amazingly still make them). Ricky, in similar situations, will release his putt just as cleanly as he would during practice (and oddly sometimes miss more often than Paul does even when he's releasing his putts below his usual standard).
      I once went to an aptitude testing center where they attempt to gauge peoples' innate abilities with a series of simple tests. I imagine if Paul and Ricky were to take the tests designed to test a person's skill with maneuvering objects with their hands, Ricky would test higher than Paul. I also imagine that if Ricky was more gifted in this way, he hasn't had to try has hard as Paul has when learning to play disc golf. Thus, my theory is Paul is currently an overall slightly more skilled player because when he was learning, it was more necessary for him to learn more and learn it all more thoroughly than Ricky. As a result, Paul is more skilled at recognizing what he did wrong and correcting off of it while Ricky is more confused by his errors during tournaments because he's otherwise so consistent at getting the throw right the first time. In other words, they've achieved a comparable level of play but Paul's additional trials better prepared him for close, highly competitive tournament play.

      @smokestakz Před 8 lety

      yea I should've mentioned, im not TRYING to putt like either, I just changed from a spin to a push putt about 4 months ago and my putt just mimics rickys putt and kinda eagle's putt....after watching more footy it really mimics eagle's...and after thinking about it I don't think I want that strong forward projection. half the reason I switched to a pitch was to limit the distance of spit outs and bounce offs...im good with my style, I just wish I could get better projection outside 33ft without having to purposefully add spin.

    • @alf21124
      @alf21124 Před 8 lety

      Just putt the same way you do now. I still push putt outside the circle. I may walk putt it if its far enough. I have a hard time jump putting so in some cases i just try to throw putt it in. I read some where that ken climo said anything outside the circle is a bonus. I try to putt higher the farther i am outside the circle. Also practice. Having a basket helps. I try to putt at least an hour a day.

    • @smokestakz
      @smokestakz Před 8 lety +1

      +Justin Pecek mcbeth said that and i can putt outside the circle just i dont have great control of adding the spin (purposeful added spin) to the putt from out there. as stokely said when you pitch from 20-30 you dont need to try to impart spin.
