  • In Scripture, we read how God appointed individuals for special roles throughout redemptive history. In this sermon, R.C. Sproul walks us through Paul’s sermon at Antioch, explaining why God chose David to be king: to be the ancestor of a greater King, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Because the Gospel is Jesus - the works of Jesus from the Old Testament Paul Preaches and Teaches. Not worthy even to tie His sandals: His works is why we go to Heaven not anything we do but what Jesus did. The late R.C. Sproul still Preaching and Teaching us why we believe what we believe through the Holy Word of God. Raising up leaders that lead us back to God, the ones who obey God. It behooves us to recognize this for such a time as this. It is profound and astounds me today. All the Glory to God - Holy Trinity. The second person of the Trinity-Jesus - His Gospel - His Works - His Life♥️✝️♥️

For whatever reason John mark left we are humbled
The beginning can be shaky it’s the ending that counts
He died a martyr for the Lord Jesus Christ

“So all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. They said to him, “You are old, and your sons do not follow your ways; now appoint a king to lead[a] us, such as all the other nations have.”
6 But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord. 7 And the Lord told him: “Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king.”
    1 Samuel 8

Nobody's perfect. Everyone sinned sometime. God sent His Son to die as a substitute for sinners, who by Faith, wholeheartedly Believe that the Blood of Jesus pays for their sins and makes them 'right' before God.
A new thinking and a new way of living Proves this to be a True Conversion, a True Soul cleansing.😊

St Paul cites the Historic plan of God in Christ through the prophets, not his opinion.
