Everything OKC’s been through, Atlanta blowing the biggest lead ever in the Super Bowl, Oklahoma’s loss in the Rose Bowl last year, but this Kentucky team’s loss to Wisconsin might be the worst. I remember laying with my face on the ground for at least 30 minutes after the game lol I was dead inside
@@mmartinez8439 I agree but hindsight is 20/20. I understand why he didn’t switch it up considering how insanely clutch Aaron was in the tourney the year before. But again, yeah he should’ve switched the lineup.
I still think its awsome how Trey played SF at Kentucky! Dude is a strecth PF but gotta give him credit that line up was big too two 6'6 guards in the backcourt and 6'10 at SF and PF 7'0ft and Stein 7'1 thats a huge line up!
Kentucky didn't play fantastic the first two rounds against Hampton or Cincinnati but this game made it seem like all was right in their world again. Probably makes that Wisconsin defeat worse for Kentucky fans because unlike 1991 UNLV which was on a downward trajectory in that NCAA tournament, UK played one of their best games of the entire season here only to follow it up with two subpar performances. A giant tease.
How do you have a team with KAT, Booker, Ulis, and Lyles and still lose? Ugh I wish Cal would have started Ulis and Booker over the Harrison twins in the final four against Whiskey.
WVU was taken out of this game by the refs in the first 3 minutes. After Holton and Williams get two fouls each, WV was done. You could see it on the player's faces and Huggin's face. They gave up at that point. Refs were going to call even the slightest of contact. Not saying WV would have won, but this would have a been a closer game. They wanted Kentucky to win this. 4 fouls on WV within the first 3:30. It was already over from the very beginning.
lol stop making excuses because your team lost. the refs called it consistent and right calls . west virginia talked shit before the game and got their ass handed to them fairly
+Dylan Popham One player made a comment, that has nothing to do with losing. I did not make an excuse for why we lost. I said, "not saying WV would have won...". I specifically said they probably still would not have won, simply because we didn't have the height to match-up with Kentucky. However, the game was not called consistently. They over-called WV either because they wanted to make sure Kentucky won, or because they had preconceived notions about WV's play style coming into the game which led them to being over-aggressive with calls against WV.
+CohibaSkeeza js, WVU has been known to be masters of fouling without being called. I wouldn't have been surprised if they didn't call very many fouls on WVU.
+Brandino B People think they are fouling when they are not due to all the disorder there is on the court. They see some guy caught in a trap struggling to find an opening to pass the ball and think he is getting fouled. They see incidental contact going up and down the court and think there is a foul. They see WVU strip a ball and think it is a foul because of how "violent" the movement is. They do not foul as much as people think.
+CohibaSkeeza Even if Kentucky missed all of their free throws they made, They still easily win this game. I believe they were just fired up by the players comments when he said they didn't 'play hard' This was a totally different team then the one we saw against Notre Dame and Wisconsin.
