- After losing the MCWS to Tennessee, Texas A&M also lost their head coach and pieces of their staff. In the postgame press conference on Monday, he emphasized very clearly that he would "never" leave the Aggies for another job. However, less than 24 hours later, it was announced that he actually would be taking a new job with a new SEC foe. The University of Texas welcomed Jim Schlossnagle with open arms and has sparked controversy in the process.

In regards to "MOST HATED" fan bases, you have seen nothing like the Texas University sips! Kirk Herbstreit once described them as a CESSPOOL! They are one arrogant, self-important hot mess! Just wait until you experience this egotistical, over-bearing, "superior to you" group and you will rue the day the SEC gave them membership!! Nebraska, Colorado, Arkansas, A&M and MIZZOU left their conference because they couldn't stand them! The BIG 10 turned them down. The PAC 12 turned them down when they went begging. Don't you remember years ago when the SEC invited them to join the SEC previously. They turned the offer because the SEC schools were academically INFERIOR! Get the arrogance? That's when they turned to the PAC12 and the BIG10. But like Herbstreit, they were wise to their toxicity! GOOD LUCK!!!
Schloss is trash
Schloss screwed up. He should have waited until the collegiate baseball season was over to take the Texas job.
Coaching the team, while knowing he would not be back must have been difficult.
Once David Pierce was let go, then folks in the sports media began to speculate over who would replace Pierce.
Knowing Chris Del Conte’s reputation for naming replacements soon after a head coach had been let go, media folks speculated that it had to be either Schloss or Tennessee’s Tony Vitello, since they were the only two coaches still in contention for the CWS title.
Imagine the furor had Schloss’ Aggies had won the championship?
Despite the fact that Schloss led A&M to six CWS game wins, more than any previous coach, Aggie fans will hate him forever for leaving to go to Texas.

Fellas get the facts straight before you rant and rave. A reporter from Houston got intel that Peirce from Texas was being let go and went a head let that out on the Championship Game Day. Second, the new ball coach at Texas and CDC have been great friends for a long time and he wanted to work together again. Lol you guys are funny.
