This has a better, cleaner transformation than MP-44, and it's tiny. Love it.
Better? Maybe.
Cleaner? No way. MP-44 does not have a fake chest sticking out right in front of what should be his real chest. It looks like Optimus Prime is wearing an Optimus Prime costume. And it's not just the extra set of lights. It looks like a piece is just stuck on his chest that's meant to look like his chest.

@@ShinAdamSmasher this transformation is cleaner because it isn’t complete cancer like mp44’s, and I got to say if this was bigger it will be an amazing masterpiece Optimus, better than mp44 at least

@@Chill.mp4.v2 Meh. You would think NewAge G1 Optimus Prime was a re-paint of NewAge G1 Ultra Magnus instead of a re-paint and re-sculpt. I still like NewAge Optimus Prime, though, don't get me wrong, but it would have been nice if NewAge would hide his robot feet a lot better in truck mode just like they did on their version of G1 Ultra Magnus.
Newage as a concept is brilliant to me. Smaller scale, simpler transformations. This makes them PERFECT for scaling with larger toys like FOC Metroplex, TR Fortess Maximus, TR Trypticon, Earthrise Scorpinok, Kingdom Ark- basically ANY Cityformers.
But fortress/cerebros were suppose to be the same height as a normal transformers or im missing something
The detail of the transformation is mind blowing.
What kind of sorcery is this? Tiny Optimus transformation is damn good.

About a month ago I saw the Mini Magnus Swift Transform and I was like "Man the unarmored cab robot would make for such a great Mini MP Prime" and boy I didn't expect it to turn out this well.
This little fella pulls of what MP 44 does for less than a quarter of the price, at least from what I've seen on TF Source and Show.Z Store.
The robot mode is amazing, it cleans up so well and I am on board with the changes made to the conversion process, most notable everything from the waist down and the backpack.
The details are crisp and sharp in both modes and the level of articulation is astonishing for such a small figure.
One hell of a detailed figure for one so small. Great stuff!
Megatron looks so happy with his new toy!
They need to size this up to MP scale and clean up a few gaps a tiny bit and this would become the new best MP Optimus Prime out there.
if they make this as big as the masterpiece this could be the best Optimus Prime ever

The level of detail is staggering, but I'm a little disappointed they pulled the 'fake alt-mode kibble' with the cab windows. I get why; to facilitate a more accurate robot mode and to hide the matrix chamber, but still...
I don't mind fake parts. I do mind fake parts that just look like they are stuck on top of the "real" parts.
THANK you. I hate fake parts - the joy of Transformers for me is seeing how parts of a vehicle reform and become part of a completely different figure, which is cheapened by swapping in fake grill-abs and window-pecs. I'd gladly take a less cartoon accurate toy for a transformation that feels more tangible
Kudos to them though for actually using the grill of the truck for his abs. Even MP-10 dont do that

@@lukeliu7162 to this day almost all of the flat cab truck Optimus use a faux grill part for the abs. Earthrise Optimus for example. Even MP-44 if im not mistaken

Because Takara went for perfect proprtions. NewAge was smarter, and went for _overall presence._

It really astounds me that Hasbro couldn't do something similar at a larger scale. I liked mp44 but after this it's just an over engineered overpriced hunk of plastic that looks if you don't touch it
True that, but a lot of these Legends sized offerings have long since flown into overpriced turf. I think that this is like $110, and the upcoming Magic Square "Light of Victory" (their Optimus 2.0) is supposed to be around that point. As a reference point, I got the KuBianBao MP10V (figure & trailer) for a total of $102...$52 for the figure, $50 for the trailer that was sold separately.

Personally i love ms v2 scupt but i really dislike its knee joints
for me i went for hot soldiers one. It stayed true with vehicle parts and the quality also seemed good and fun to play with. Transformation is not as complex as this but for the figure its pretty solid and much more cheap as this.
