- LCMP is over and we slowly start to look at heading back to Adelaide. We thought we would spend a couple of days at Lansborough to take the kids to Australia Zoo and also to make repairs on #Dirty62. To make sure the car was fixed properly a quick boys trip to Glasshouse Mountains was in order. What could go wrong 🤷♂️. I should note we had a 66ml downpour of rain too

Nice recon boys, mate I think you are onto something there regarding weight etc for the car. If you can come up with a lighter rear bar, still able to keep the tyre under the car, possibly something regarding the extra couple of litres in fuel without the long range and suspension mods but keeping the 2 inch lift will be a big seller I reckon. Very keen to see what you can do as I want to make changes to my S3 with out a big increase in weight especially that I plan to get an off road van to tow. Another good blog. Cheers.

Please look at the AEV rear bar for wrangler. It's a tube with polyethylene tank to fill the gap. I am sure you can rig somethin up.

Great vid, lol little reccy got more balls than me dropping into some of those mud wholes single vehicle late in the day but then again I seem to suffer from Murphy’s law and would get bogged for sure under those circumstances. dirty62 obviously knows his vehicle and how to drive great stuff

Any way to take the spare from underneath put on the rear bar when make it then a small tank that fits under there where tyre was like a 25l gu set up that you can pump to the main?
Any way to make off your predator bar a nice set of brush rails that go to sliders full length both wheel arches front and back to match into rear bar? Just for added protection. Worst is weight. Could go like a magnesium alloy it’s light and strong

I think you need to ask whether you really need a rear bar. How often does the spare hinder things and it is very easy to think you need this and that because that is what you have done to other cars. Keep it simple.
