  • We just finished 2 days of full on 4WDing at LCMP and I’ve got up each morning early to edit the vids, just need to upload them some how. I went off on a solo mission to find some decent reception and whilst uploading thought I would do a vlog on what gear I’m using and what software etc to optimise the process whilst travelling. Check it out

Great vid mate, the issue I have with phone footage is everything (like gopro) is in focus. You can't direct the viewer's eyes from one part of the image to another using focus.
Being a Prem Pro user, variable frame rate footage from a phone (I assume Iphone does it as well) is a rubbish idea for editing.

How good is iPhone videoing and iMovie. I started on a6000 and GoPro and upgraded my phone and stared using my iPhone 8plus for my you tube videos and it so easy. I wish Apple would sponsor me too!

Don’t run yourself into the ground Dave. Figure out a good balance when you get home. I’m sure you’ll be flat out for a bit so just get settled home and go from there. I’ve enjoyed your Vlogs but it will all be different once you’re back working flat out.

    Loving your work Dave.
In terms of audio with the iPhone I use the RODE GO with a RODE lapel microphone if I want the microphone to be obscure.

iPhone has a standard recording function - why use a app when the standard one is brilliant!
