I had a R1A1. It didn’t like hollow points. Got rid of it.
I’m mulling over the Carry Commander.

I’ve fired thousands of rounds through series 80 1911s and I’ve never had a single malfunction attributable to the firing pin block. I know lots of people debate the merits or hazards of having it but it’s never been noticeable by me.

It’s not necessarily malfunction but the series 70 objectively feels better, cleaner

I have been looking at these. I have 2 Springfield 1911s and I love them. I want to get another one in my collection. But Remingtons pistol history scares the crap out of me. Do you still feel the same way about this gun weeks later?

Yeah I’ve never cared for Remington especially pistols but their biggest issues was the polymer crap they tried to do. The 1911s seem solid. I shot more though it haven’t had any problems. Tore down parts look good and fit was quite good. Granted I got it at a good deal. If i could pay 100$ more and get a sig idk maybe but if you can find this under 8 I think it’s a good buy
