Thank you, Ruby! Will you be making other videos on how to add shaping to a crocheted garment, like how to make a set in sleeve, or how to shape the front and back so that the garment is more form fitting? And also, I notice that a lot of crocheted sleeves and just "stove pipe" shaped and do not taper to the wrist. It would be wonderful to see how a crocheted garment can be shaped like a knitted one is. Once again, thank you for this excellent tutorial.

Very many thanks for this tutorial on short row shaping in a top down raglan sweater/ cardigan. I am just about to start your Milky Way sweater. Thank you for your shared expertise. This raglan sweater will be second on my list.

Hi, this is perfect❤ Question how did you calculate the 18 stitches for each short row and the sc, hdc and dc to use leading up to the raglan increase. I was a bit confused on this Thanks much

Interesting technique, but not what I was expecting from a tutorial on crochet short rows. Completely different from the classic short rows where you skip stitches at the end/start or rows, to add/subtract bulk from crochet fabric. This is easier to do, but I think has different uses. 🙂👍

This method of shaping makes a lot more sense than short row method. This is different stitches rather than short rows, but is there no name for this method?

I’ve been doing top down cardigans for about 4 months, but crocheting almost 45 years. I had never heard of short rows until recently.I thought maybe it just meant your replacing the stitch used with single crochets to make “short rows” in order to build up the back of the neck. But now I see your doing slip stitches. I’m totally confused.
