- In this video, I will show you how to crochet Yoke to the size you want using a shirt or cardigan. In the video,I used a sleep suit for a 12- month old as an example. The outcome varies depending on the size of the shirt, type of yarn and the size of crochet hook, but the process or the steps are the same, as shown in the video.
Hope you enjoy. Don't forget to subscribe if you found this video helpful. - Zábava
Thank you everyone for your kind comments. Unfortunately, after this Vid I went back to work full time as nurse and become very busy as mom. I am hoping to post crochet videos again , but with the economy at the moment, I just got so busy working. Again thank you and sorry if I could not answer some of your questions.

Thank you so much for your very clear and easy to follow tutorial. It is by far the most explicit tutorial I have come across and really helped me to understand the process. Can you please tell me if I wanted to join it together to make a jumper would I just slip stitch into the last stitch, would I also add an extra stitch to slip into? ❤
Excellent and very easy to understand. Thank you so much!

Best vedio on yoke
Would this work if you wanted to do a granny square yoke for a dress? No opening in the front.
Thank you plenty for this I found something I really wanna make for my daughter but it was only in baby size I need it at a size 5.
❤️❤️
Thanks a lot
Fantastic! I had been struggling to make pattern adjustments when trying to fit this style on my body. Now I get it and it's so simple. Thank you!
This is the best video. I have seen on how to make a yoke. I have everything I just don’t understand where the ten come from on the side the 10+5.
Thanks for your video, is very helpfull. I would like to crochet a hoody (cardigan) for my self that start with the square yoke. Do you think that If I use your system in one of my hoodys will work to find my beginning chain? Thanks
can you make one as a raglan sweater? I have tried however my joins are not invisible. Thank you
Gladly I found your channel. That's what I needed! Thank you so much.
But I have questions, why your shoulder is going down but mine is straight so my yolk shape is square
Beautiful ❤️😍
Thank you
Thank you so much. Do you have tutorial for round neck?
V good teaching
Thank you for this video. I have a question though-In the beginning, you check how many stitches is the eqivelant to the length of 11cm by chaining a random number.that part i understand. But why did you have to double crochet after (and start it 3rd chain from hook?)
I am having the same problem with all the top-down sweater tutorials I have seen. I have the round yoke done. How can I extend down the front and back of the sweater.????? Often, the close-up filming is not what I need. I need a diagram or a pulled back filming. Close-up shows the stitching, but I want to see the pieces. Thank you for answering and sending me to a video that will show this, Please.
I made this neckline in a cardigan sweater. I would like to add a collar to it. Do you have any collar patterns for this neckline. Any would be appreciated
I made this cardigan and I would like to make a collar for it. Do you have any patterns for a collar for this neckline
So I am going to assume that if you want to make a pullover you'd just do the same number of stitches front and back and join in the round? Please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you so much for this video. It explains everything. ☺
Very useful video good 👍
❤️❤️
Too good tutorial....😇😇😇please show for round neck too ma'am
Hi thank you for watching, yes will upload, just really in hectic schedule at the moment. Sending ❤️
Can i use this way of measure for adult size?
Could this work for knitting too?
How do you join this for a sweater and not a cardigan ?
❤
Wow so nice I will try to do also wee can make full on this madam❤
Hello I've just found your channel this is great and easy to understand thank you. I was wondering if possible would you do in the round and v neck in the future. I have boys and would love to make them nice jackets and something for myself 😍
Hello Tanya. thank you 😘 I will try
@@ritzrn630 thank you. I can't wait to try some when I've finished my current project
What I did for my 4yr old V-Neck was first I only used 3-4 stitches for the front of the first row. Then I increased at the beginning and end of every second row. For instance if I'm making double crochets I make two double crochets at beginning and again two at end of row....until you're satisfied with the v-shape and just stop the increasing and continue as normal. You decide if you want the v-shape to end before of end of the yoke is finished. I hope this helped. Btw I used DK yarn
@@bibaebrahim3363 thank you I will have a go 😊
Great tutorial! Just what I needed to figure out how to do a top-down crocheted sweater for myself.
4 year baby are how many chen how are divaid tail pl
Please i want cardigane no two parte in front, just one. Când You hepl me. ❤️
thank you, but why the neckline is so wide and how to make is narrow
Hi Helena, the neckline can be narrowed by adding a border .
Nice nice beautiful 💞💞💋
Q. Thank you for your video I am having trouble with my understanding of the maths.
the front chest =30cm & the front yoke=27 difference is 3cm therefore 1.5cm ea side for front wouldn't that be doubled to allow for the back measurements of yoke and chest?
chest circumference is 60cm yoke circumference is 54 cm diff is 6cm therefore 3cm ea underarm? 3cm =6sts ea side? that is what I am stuck on - I really want to be able to figure this out if you could take the time to explain where I am going wrong.
Hi J Lowe, Thank you for watching. I believe you are not wrong . But I’d like to explain why I did not add 3 cm on each side but rather just added 1.5 cm. On that last round where we made ch 3, we still made an increase on each side. I added 1DC immediately before the corner and 2Double crochets on each corner before I made 3chains then 2 DC on the opposite corner when I connected them. Those were additional stitches, Which, my fault, I did not expound clearly thus causing confusion. So if you follow this pattern , you should have 60 cm chest circumference at the end ( assuming same size ) or even a little bit more. But your idea is also an alternative, though,I believe it’s a little too much for the sleeve or armpit area if you add 6 stitches each side. If you’re confuse with the numbers, simplier alternative is to crochet until you reach the chest circumference and just add 2-3 chains to connect on both sides. There’s no definite formula though in making yoke especially if you add more designs. I hope I clearly explained.
@@ritzrn630 Thank you so much for your prompt reply I do agree that 6chains would be too many, I will take up your suggestions Jan
Please tell me the hook size
How to crochet a border of this dress??
Hi Yokpangden there are many ways to crochet a border , I will make a video in the future.😊
