Hey just a note if you aren't already or in the future, some toothpastes explicitly suggest to spit and not rinse for 30 minutes, contact time. Which is a good practice to maximize toothpaste especially when they cost triple or more than regular toothpaste. But since you're testing products, consistency is important, so either they all get 30 minutes or none do. Also I think maybe 5 minutes is a good number between 30 min and 2 min, without diminishing returns that people can do for some minor improvement.
Good point!
You are terrific. Glad I found you great reviews.😜👍
Aw thank you! So happy to be helpful!
Love your vids! Can you please review the new pro mineral risewell toothpaste ?
Cool I’ll check it out!
Great video! What mouth was would you recommend to pair with Dr. Jen’s toothpaste?
I actually don’t use mouthwash personally so I don’t really have a recommendation for that. Definitely stay away from any mouthwash containing alcohol. Dried the mouth out. Generally there’s a correlation between mouthwash use and high blood pressure because it wipes out all the bacteria in the mouth, even the good which regulates blood pressure…
I love this! I am a hygienist and need some options for those that are opposed to fluoride for whatever reason. I love that they have strawberry flavor too! 🪥🪥🪥🪥🪥
This is my first time hearing that the shape matters, so thanks! 🪥
Hi Kristina! 🪥
Love the information on Hydroxyapatite. Will watch other videos
How does Boka (current toothpaste) compare to Dr Jen's?
Would love to try Dr. Jen's - dental health is so important and I want to use the best one!!!!
Boka was my first hydroxyapatite toothpaste that I tried; it seems the concentration of hydroxyapatite is pretty low in Boka so I didn’t see drasti results. Definitely feeling more effectiveness with Dr. Jen’s, especially with sensitivity improvement.
Love your Videos! 🪥
I switched to Hydroxyapatite Toothpaste a bit ago and got a silicone toothbrush. My teeth and gums are much better!
A silicone toothbrush - can you tell me the name?
I have done some research on Dr Jen toothpaste and BOKA n-ha. Dr Jen has 10% and BOKA 2% of n-ha so you used both what can you say about them when it comes to anti-cavity or reversal since both don’t contain fluoride?
And you mentioned an important information about the shape of the n-ha were you able to find the shape of the n-ha for both of these toothpaste?
In terms of personal experience I like Dr. Jen’s better. I still haven’t heard back about shape of the particles :/
Great infomation!
Have you tried CariFree Gel 1100 Anti-Cavity Fluoride Toothpaste with Nano Hydroxyapatite ?
I have not tried it, no; have you?
No, I'm curious.@@askahygienist
@@umamama234 ah ok yeah no I haven’t tried it. I do see a combo of fluoride and hydroxyapatite being popular. I personally don’t use fluoridated products.
@@askahygienist I also wondered if you have ever heard or tried CariFree, I use this brand and I really love it, developed by a dentist from what I’ve read they use a 15% nano hydroxyapatite in their gel tooth formulas they also have a gel formula that’s fluoride free for people that don’t want to use fluoride, I choose to use their gel that has both fluoride and nano hydroxyapatite I’ve been using it for over a year I always use the grape flavor and love it, it is very pleasant and I have noticed my teeth don’t like when I don’t use it I can tell it helps with sensitivity a lot and I can barely feel my cavities, of course I do also use Rx Colgate prevident that my dentist prescribed me but I started that about 6 months ago regardless after I started CariFree I did notice my teeth felt alot smoother shinier and just generally felt so much better I feel their superior to many other brands that use hydroxyapatite! You should give them a try, they have a fluoride free gel as well! Thanks for your awesome videos love them!
Hello, I just found your channel, after learning about the significance of n-hydroxyapatite for tooth health. Can you please compare Dr. Jen’s to Dave’s n-ha toothpastes, since it’s probably been a month? 🙂 I appreciate your reviews of dental care stuff! 🙏
Yes I’m actually working on scripting that video for coming weeks! :)
@@askahygienist thank you so much! 🙏
It had been a month. What are your thoughts on the toothpaste?
No complaints! In fact so far it’s been the best in terms of helping with my sensitivity as well as stain prevention
How do you feel about closys (sp?) Mouthwash
I’ve never heard of it…generally I don’t use mouthwash though, never really used it regularly. And recently I found out that it’s associated with high blood pressure because it kills a bacteria in our mouth that helps reduce nitrates, which contribute to high blood pressure.
Any word about shape, i.e. ideal rod shaped particles? I have today sent them this question also. Might get an answer in a while.
I haven’t heard from them about specific shape. I’ll check in again.
What’s your thought on MOON anticavity toothpaste (ADA)?
I haven’t heard or tried it but just looked at their website; first impressions - not impressed. Glittery toothpaste, no thanks; also anytime I see those LED at home whitening kits, it’s a big turn off for me because I’ve tried several and had friends try, they don’t work.
@@askahygienist okay thank you. I saw that it was ADA approved but I was curious to see if it’s worth the hype.
@@pewpew9736 Yeah, I made a video on ADA approved products actually; it's not as important as you might think. Yes, it does help ensure a standard, but that standard is pretty basic and doesn't actually guarantee a product is great.
What about BioRepair ?
I haven’t tried it…
I've tried "BioRepair Gum Protection" - nothing! But, tastes cool.
Sounds like a 5 minute commercial
For an amazing product! I truly stand by it, I didn’t get paid for this - I just love the results :)
have you heard of Fluoro CalciumPhosphoSilicate, its only in boimin toothpaste , must be patented of something
I’ve heard of biomin but haven’t tried it. It’s on my list though!
i believe it remineralizes well , but it is to harsh for me with the sls
Try Biomin F toothpaste
On my list!
Oh yay! This was good info. I started using Dr. Jen’s super paste about 3 weeks ago and so far I like it. Curious how my next cleaning will go. I don’t know yet how I feel about giving up flouride (I have such problematic teeth) so I like that she offers the combo option. I’m using that, at least for now. 🪥 thanks!
Yeay, giveaway.... 🪥
Great info .. want to participate 🪥🪥🪥🪥🪥🪥🪥
can't wait for the 1 month review! 🪥
Woo hoo! Can I please have links to this toothpaste? 🪥
Of course! Sorry I missed that, they should be up in the description now!
have you tried calicum lactate toothpaste 🪥🪥🪥🪥
No I haven’t! Is there a specific brand that has those ingredients?
@@askahygienist i like splat toothpaste splat organic has claicum lactate from egg shells as they claim it gel and one of best i have used to reduce sensitivity for me
Is it better than Dave’s? 🪥
It’s too soon to tell. Check back for a 1 month update
Done, done, and done... 🪥 Whoooo hooo... Almost 1st.
