She wouldn’t make a good politician because she isn’t educated on why it’s bad and is lying to folks to promote the consumption of coke to benefit in any way. She is ignorant of the negative effects and believes it is actually helpful. Which very much IS propaganda that is actively spread by the Coca Cola brand. She is a victim of actual politicians who are putting her in a position to believe and spread ignorance in return at her own expense and their gain.
Yea, but she don't know any better. Coca-Cola is so ingrained in their daily lives, Anyone who comes by and says "Coke gives serious health issues and should not be consume so heavily " will be seen as crazy.
As crazy as she sounds there is a hint of truth to what she’s saying. Stress will cause spikes in blood sugar which can be enough to make you go from being pre-diabetic to a full blown diabetic. That being said, all the coke and weight gain coupled with a high chance of genetic predisposition is the true culprit. Source: I’m diabetic.
My maternal grandma passed of a diabetic stroke as she loved pop. Her grave was decorated with Pepsi and coke bottles as the offerings are reflective of what the person liked in their lifetime. I remember asking my mom “well we know what caused the stroke yet ppl are decorating her grave with what killed her”

As a Japanese-American now living in Belgium, I'm blessed that we had access to free or cheap water. Like Chamula, places in Europe usually sell beer and/ or sugary drinks cheaper than water (cheapest I found was $0.30 Cola compared to $1.50 water, same size). From a financial perspective, its mostly due to pubs, restaurants, and/ or supermarkets being under exclusive supply contracts with breweries along-side with stealth taxing (plus water bills). Beer is considered a part of Belgian culture, to a point where some even drink non-alchoholic beers during pregnancies ("It says zero so it's good for you" type shit).
Hell, I had friends tell me that I'm a health freak due to my constant water drinking AND daily showers. As my savior Mentally Mitch once posted, "If you funky during winter, somethings wrong witchu"

My grandma and grandpa had a 'puesto' shop in Mexico. Every year, when we went in December, they use to stock it well will Coca Cola, the glass bottles. We only had them when we visited, here inbthe states we hardly drank coke. As we grew older we started drinking them less because they are very sweet and to much is never good. Mexico coca cola will always be the best for me. I don't even like coke here in Texas. It's Dr. Pepper for me. Jajaja. It is sad though that coke is sometimes cheaper than water.
