My great grandfather was a member of the Bohemian Club and would go to the Bohemian Grove regularly. I have some items from the grove that were passed down. He died in the 1970s, so I can't say it's the same now, but how it started and how it ran was just a retreat for successful men. They would hang out, drink, do performances like plays, music, etc. Of course if you're hanging out with successful people and they start bringing their even more successful friends, it can become a source of power plays.
