    A Little Bit Longer is about Nick having type 1 diabetes, he wrote it has a "life song" one day where he felt bad about his situation.
    Fun fact : he actually wrote it in about 20 minutes on the piano in the hotel while shooting Camp Rock !

    I don't know if you're aware (maybe you are because of how much you love TS) but on their next album "Much Better" is about her written by Joe... pre Better Than Revenge. It's why TS sings "she's so much better" sarcastically at the end of Better Than Revenge... she's referencing their song. Get ready!!

    In Video Girl, the first time I heard it, I immediately heard "get some class and kiss my ass" cause I feel thats what they actually really wanted to say, so now I just sing it that way. 😂

  • @HeartandSeoul23
    @HeartandSeoul23 Před 2 lety +16

    I love this album so much.
    This was the album where they just shot up into superstardom.
    This was their first #1 record, “Burning Up” became the official song of the summer, you couldn’t go anywhere without hearing either Burning up or LOVEBUG, they also got a Grammy for Best New Artist that year( and got to do this really awesome mashup of Burning Up and Superstition” with Stevie Wonder himself, which you should check out), and their 3D movie premiered that year( you should also check that out too, because we ended up getting a new song in that film called “Love is On its way) along with camp rock. It was such a great year for them that year.
    Lines, Vines, and Trying Times is the GOAT JoBros album in my opinion and when I tell you that it was the one I kept coming back to the most when the brothers announced their breakup., I’m not kidding. The production of that record is just everything and they really do stretch themselves into many different genres on that record. Also: my second all time favorite JoBros song is on that record. So excited for you to hear it!

    The way I screamed when I saw this
    Funny that you mention Nick having the lead in most songs from album 1 & 2. Nick was the lead, he was first singed as an artist and had an album himself released in 2005. When they got on Disney Joe was pushed as the leader since Joe had the lead in CampRock. So that change took place between 2007 & 2008.
    Lovebug and BurningUp are MUST in Jonas Brothers Shows. (Lovebug is so much cooler live!)
    A lot of these love/heartbreak songs are (partly) for or about Miley Cyrus, Nick and She dated when they were Teenagers

  • @NayeJBMC1D
    @NayeJBMC1D Před 2 lety +41

    Its wild bc i think Joe has always been seen as the main vocalist back then, and it wasn’t until Nick went solo that they started to be equals on that. At least in the general aspect. Fun to see you see it as opposite. That said, have always been a Joe girl so maybe i’m biased😌 also not to say Joe was more popular, Nick has always been insanely popular too.

  • @lisateax
    @lisateax Před rokem +1

    What you said in the end about getting your own opinion on things is why I am a fan. In 2008, people openly made fun of them around me. I was (and still am) mostly into old school punk like the Misfits, Ramones etc. I decided on listening myself instead of not listening to them because my friends said so & now they’ve been my fave band for over a decade. The comment above rings so true to because I didn’t feel safe sharing my love for them at the time because the people around me said it wasn’t “real” music & made fun of me for being older & liking them. I am so excited for you to jump right into Lines,Vines & Trying Times. That album pushes us into the newer sound & I love seeing you fall in love with this band & their music the same way I did!
