  • In this video, I demonstrate how to start a 6-stitch I-cord bind-off. You can follow this method for any number of I-cord bind-off width. Here I am doing it in the round but it will be the same for a straight edge as well.
    1. Start by casting on the number of stitches for the width of your i-cord. I like to use the knitted cast-on for this.
    2. Knit to one less than the number of stitches you cast on, then k2togtbl the last stitch with one stitch of your work. (You can also ssktbl)
    3. Next, slip those stitches back to your left-hand-needle.
    4. Repeat steps 2-3 until you have worked all the way around or to the end of your row and you only have your i-cord number of stitches remaining.
Once you reach the end, if you are working in the round, you may need to graft these stitches to the beginning of the cord.
