- The 2021 Kia Soluto is Kia's budget city car offering that replaces the Kia Rio in the Philippines. It comes with goodies that you don't normally see in a budget small car offering, like Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, and a reverse camera. In this Filipino car review, we take a full tour of the 2021 Kia Soluto EX and then take it for a drive around the city. The Soluto is the same category as the Mitsubishi Mirage G4, the Honda City, and to an extent, the Toyota Vios. However, the Kia Soluto is priced at the same level as the Honda Brio or the Toyota Wigo. The 2021 Kia Soluto is the same platform as the Hyundai Reina, and both of these cars are sourced from China. This is a trend in the local automotive industry, where more and more cars are sourced from China due to their lower cost.

This Kia Soluto is a handsome sedan, looks better to me than its rivals. Good candidate to equip with 360°camera, high end amplifier/speaker system, 15" alloy wheels, 60series tyres, seat covers from Lazada, LED lights, etc. Not bad for the price point.

Reygan, the shape is what makes the soluto stand out. See those clean lines? It's the only car these days that isnt a fashion victim. It's still gonna look good 10 years from now. Even 20 years from now.
I’m quite impressed with the interior, the looks is ok . It’s not a luxury car but your not paying luxury prices . It is what it is , with a bit more throw in . Nice review.

Man, how many times we should be reminded that it is "a budget city car" in this video? Can't you just highlight the features and what it offers at that price point? Surely some car buyers would still want to get that car without feeling belittled for buying a "budget city car". I understand what we can't find there but a car is still a car if you know what I mean.

I'm actually hooked to Kia nowadays considering the price but it has a plenty of features that couldn't be found on other major brand competitors especially in the interior. If ever I'm going to get a chance to buy my first car, I would go for Kia Picanto, Kia Soluto or Kia Rio (hatchback or sedan). Having a Kia as your first car wouldn't be a problem. Kia's design is simple which I love too. Aside from that, you have android auto and apple carplay on Kia, and engine temperature gauge which is essential for me and other brands in this segments don't have temperature gauge which is not good especially if you are a new driver and you wouldn't want to be stucked somewhere having an overheated engine. Wow this is an awesome looking car. Interested in getting this. Loved this review also. Can anyone say anything about the parking experience? It looks a bit bulky though, is it easy to park? Our garage and streets on the way home are not that wide.

Thanks! Afaik there is none, only slide/recline. Driving position is quite good, and should be ok for most drivers.

Use the lower gears. I use it during uphill or downhill driving and the power is there, you wont be disappointed.
Great review as usual Reygan! This Soluto is pretty much the winner in this price segment. Better value at a lower price than its competitors.
Btw, remember that TCross review i was asking you about? Went to VV yesterday for a test drive and walked away unimpressed. Low AC power plus the low ride height turned me off. I guess the Territory and the Coolray are still the winners in that category.
