It can not be Steven Gerrard not a fucking chance
I don't think we're actually still looking. I think Amorim just doesn't want to announce or be bothered until after the season.
He is still going for the title, so Amorim is not going to say what is his intentions are. These guys are struggling for content to talk about
But that "he's not a shoe in and not necessarily the top option" quote suggests otherwise.
@@josephrelph5235 That's my thought
While i trust Edwards and the rest to make a good appointment, I would be gutted if it's anyone other than Amorim. For me Amorim is the perfect fit. He knows what its like to battle it out with arguably more resourceful teams, he's a proper communicator, inspires and motivates the team, is young and plays exciting football. After Klopp himself Amorim just feels like the right personality for Liverpool.
And yet a month ago, you would have said someone different
Lmao deluded 😂😂😂
Niko Kovac can jog on, I rather amorim or nagelsmann
Unai emery is easily the best manager out of everyone mentioned and it’s not even close
Agree 100%
Nope. Good at a tier below Liverpool. Never been successful at a big club and he’s at his peak
He wont leave Villa, all speculation by media, is desperation for clickbait. I know who I don't want, so time will tell
@@jamesryan73 Agree. Like him a lot but has been proven to crumble under the pressure of a bigger club at Arsenal and PSG and doesn't have the personality for the job.
He’s not a big club manager, but he’s a great manager
Fuck it, Torres to Liverpool!
Why isn’t anyone talking about Ancelotti? He’s leaving Madrid at the end of the season and he’s proven world class. Forget the fact that he managed Everton, that shouldn’t be an obstacle!!!
I would say that managing Everton would make managing us more likely. Rafa did of course. Agree, it is strange they are not talking about Ancelotti.
Its a bit rude and disrespectful to Sporting to be hounding their manager for an answer. Typical journalists though, I assume Liverpool will be doing the right thing and keeping a lid on it until Sportings season is finished.
Imagine the uproar if someone was trying to take our manager away while we are in the squeaky bum time of the season...
It’s like what Bayern were doing with Xabi, Liverpool usually are respectful with this type of thing
Niko Kovac 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lets be bonest, even if every manager was available, including Pep and Ancelloti, the list of high quality potential managers would still be really short. Very few elite managers and we have been blessed to have one of them
Surprised about Gerrard not being mentioned? After leaving Rangers he's done nothing. I love Stevie but hiring him, or even talking about him as a potential manager, is nothing less than shambolic.
Not good enough to be our Manager. If he had done well at Villa, even he jump at it if offered
Writing gerrard off due to a short spell at villa, early in his managerial career is very closed minded
@@Do27gg Gerrard had Villa a hair's breadth from relegation. His current team are currently sixth in the world's shittiest league.
@@justhannah3960 because he lost the dressing room, it happens especially when you’re starting out.
The team he’s at finished 12th before he joined, so that’s not a bad improvement. Also that club isn’t one of the big teams in the league as they aren’t owned by the Saudi investment fund, so Idk how you can expect him to win the league against teams that have unlimited budgets
SG is way off the job. He can't get it right in the middle east.
He should have stayed at Rangers where he was doing a brilliant job.
You ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise?
Yer darth sidious killed in his sleep with a pillow find that a bit stupid really
@@ashleyknight455 😂🤣😂🤣
If not Amorim go for either Inzagi or Flick...
Surprised that Flick isn't getting much of a mention - his Bayern side were elite
Thank you! I thought I was the only one, ha ha. Didn't he win the treble with Bayern, including beating Barcelona 8-2 on the way? How can he not be on that big long list of candidates?
Too old
@@Do27gg 59, too old? Too old for what?
@@TerribleEnglish if he stays as long as klopp he’ll be almost 70 unless he’s a stop gap
@@Do27gg But come on. Who says any new coach will stay that long? And if he did, it would be because he's been a great success.
It's Ruben Amorim job to lose let's be honest. He ticks all boxes, what Edwards wants to be Liverpool manager especially for young manager. Which is very impressive CV already.
I've sensed for several weeks that we will hire a manager who the media have not focused on at all. I don't think Amorim will take over.
Amorim 👍🏻
Aye, it's crazy the manager of a side 38 points off the top of the Saudi pro league isn't being questioned about 1 of the top jobs in world football. Especially after the stellar job he did at Villa just before. Mind-boggling!
If it doesn't work out with whoever we get, that would not be a total disaster because maybe Alonso would be ready to join us next year.
Liverpool should go for the best and Jose Mourinho is the best manager ever. He has only really failed at Man Utd...how sweet would it be to win everything with him at LFC...where he is loved he is out of this world...if LFC fans showed him the love he would repay us in spades....and the secret is that HE LOVES LFC !!!
Amorim is 'not necessarily the top option' - wow, if it's not true, that's quite a diss of Amorim. 😮 Yes, this is the DM search, the sequel.
Its crazy how two weeks ago Ruben(sporting manger) nailed on, did vidoes on him, so why do this one? 😂😂
Bielsa would be crazy and Abel Ferreira he is very good
If Liverpool are thinking out the obvious candidates is that because the obvious candidates are not interested, what concerns me is are we going for a 5th choice risk , need a good football manger that can control games and defend and not run players into rhe ground keep players fit and using players like gakpo and szbobozali better
For me, the single best candidate is Hansi Flick, whose Bayern side were amazing..but he must have said he's not interested, or they must think he would want money to spend!
@@TerribleEnglish facts 👍🏾
Not a huge fan but Tuchel is the only one with a big enough body of work and bigger enough personality to be our next manager
Another convo about potential managers and another blank on Scaloni, really odd that he is getting overlooked.
Emery best win percentage at psg to
Remember that Wenger managed Grampus Eight in Japan before coming to Arsenal....
Unai emery should be top of the list.
Failed horribly at the two big jobs he's had previously. Like him, but he's found his level with Villa and should stay there.
He’s not a big club manager, but I think if one club would work it would be Liverpool as there aren’t massive egos
@@Do27gg Potentially, but I just don't think he has a big enough personality for the job when Klopp has been in charge for so long.
@@SW-by9ob yeah he’s not my first choice and I don’t think he’ll leave villa anyways
If for some reason Amorim doesn't become the new LFC manager, whose left? Unai Emery has prem experience, like De Zerbi, unlike De Zerbi he's won European trophies on a consistent basis, just as Rafa had done before signing for us. Emery has also managed big clubs and big players. He's tactically astute and has taken Villa, who never looked like being in the top 4 to likely Champs League football. Could he not do even better with LFC's current and potential new signings?
Fuck De Zerbi, concedes too many goals, 5 against Everton FFS
what about simeone?
If he wasnt at Real Madrid then id go with Ancelotti.
Great manager but I wouldn't want a former Everton manager.
He’s leaving Real at the end of the season, wonder why no one has considered him for the Liverpool job. If we aren’t getting Amorim and Alonso is staying at Leverkusen, then give Ancelotti the job, his c.v. is very impressive, easily as good if not better than Guardiolas
@@barryjones2638 where did you hear or read he was leaving Madrid end of season?
@@NazSBG jus found out it’s next year innit?
@@barryjones2638 I've heard nothing to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised if we go with someone who the media haven't mentioned or focused on much.
I'm not convinced Amorim from Portugal will be taking over.
Bring back Rafa. He knows the club
Tuchel?
Unai emery
Gerrard has no chance in getting the Liverpool job and it’s his own fault for thinking he’s ready to take over at Aston Villa I mean he couldn’t even get rangers to the champions league because he failed in the qualifying rounds to get into the champions league
Taking far too long to get an agreement in place..!
How do you know one isn’t? Not going to announce it whilst the season is still ongoing.
@@Collier990RHCP Exactly. This is the most important part of the season and no-one wants the distraction so not sure why anyone would expect anything other than radio silence?
If they get desperate and turn to Gerrard , then they want publicly flogging !
We are fucked If its kovacs
Amorim will not leave Sporting. He likes to teatch the game and in liverpool the stars will not let him teatch because he is so young and will sabotage him .Next year we will be at Champions League and we will sell lots of cheap players for millions as usual and will go get more.Leave him alone .Viva o Sporting Clube de Portugal.
Motta fsg out 😊
It’s Mr. O’Neil, as I have said before. Not out of “left field” on account of being a domestic manager, and not incongruent with the system. Has: Ait Nouri, Neto.
Both matches for any future Liverpool setup. U are lacking a strong Left Wing Back and a Salah replacement. It’s perfect.
Second choice: de Zerbi, keeping Salah in a loitering RF in a 3-4-1-2 (with macca at the 1) and dumping Nunez, searching for another strong CDM/CM.
BRING ME THIAGO MOTTA
Rather have Dick Emery than Uni😁
Nico Kovac is a bad joke! Seriously?
Neil( knows nothing) jones
Niko Kovac ⚰
Should go for Sandro Swartz who coaches the New York Red Bulls, he played under klopp for Mainz for 3 or 4 years as well. Only thing he not been at New York that long, he 45 so young and will progress. they currently second in the mls.
Seriously, does it matter who it is?
The club will get the best man they can, and we'll support him. Forget the new shiny names, Edwards and Hughes will have far more detailed analysis than any of us, and they WILL get it right.
Zidane, or we riot.
Can't speak English, and doesn't want to, you taking the piss 😅
@@josephrelph5235 he does speak English, not very good, but he speaks it.
Do not want Steve g
Dont talk shit guys, Gerard is not good enough, you must have nothing else to talk about
Sorry but this has been nonsense, feels like it's just been cobbled together without any freak insight or actual analysis. Steven Gerrard boring stuff again.
We have a ready made number two already at club the players like him and he knows the fans pep linders
Gerrard please
Fuck no! Look what he did at Villa, SFA, not good enough to be our manager
#Zidane would be # 1 choice
Klopp era:
1 league title, the same as Leicester City, who had far less money/resources
4 European Finals with 1 win, against Spurs, and 3 defeats
5 defeats in 6 games against Real Madrid, the other being a draw
3 domestic Cups won on penalties/in extra time against a mediocre Chelsea team
A non entity season every other/third season, due to player fatigue
I don't think that is a great return/record. Klopp is one of the highest paid managers in the world, earning millions. Regularly regarded as "elite" but that record is not elite.
Whoever the new manager is, I hope he has a more sustainable playing style than Klopp. The intensive style of Klopp has been demonstrably not sustainable over the course of a season or successive seasons. This is why we have not challenged consistently during his term. He burns the players out and injures them more.
