The Cursed Child should be on this list….it’s curse is so powerful it’s bad writing left most of the fan base knocked over and unresponsive for months
I can agree with this
Ha! I still haven't seen this. I just heard the screaming on the interwebs. It almost makes me want to see it. Almost.
Yeah
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

It's kinda bizarre how these 3 are considered "unforgivable", but plants, potions, especially love potions, and spells that can, and will kill someone much more gruesomely and violently are totally cool.
That's like saying shooting someone is forbidden, but stabbing, neck breaking, and burying someone alive, are fine.
Love potions were… uh, definitely a horrible idea. How the hell did Hogwarts not crack down higher security on love potions? Everyone knew Romilda Vane was trying to sneak one to Harry, and she directly got Ron, but she had no consequences? That seems like a jail sentence in real life as attempted r***.
One of those things that I didn’t really think about when I read these at like 8 years old, but looking back at it now, it’s pretty bad. Not that different from the Imperius Curse, no? Fred and George probably shouldn’t be selling those.
And yeah I get that Rowling wanted to show the good guys were “better” than the bad guys for not using Avada Kedavra, but the good guys managed to kill a ton of Death Eaters without using it, which just opens up more plot holes. Although Lupin did say to “shoot for the kill” to Harry once.
@@SJ-di5zu Agreed. The idea that the "good guys" are better, because they don't use the three curses, is pretty flimsy when you think about it.
@@SJ-di5zuand when you teach children how to brew 'draught of living death'. That can easily kill a entire room of people
I think the idea is moreso that killing anyone by any means will cause you legal trouble, but USING the killing curse at all, outside of an instructional setting like fake Moody did, is immediately punishable, even if no one got hit, or even remotely got hit. For example, if you were just on the street and shot a killing curse into the sky, you would immediately get jail time.
Unforgivable cursers are:
-Unblockable by any spell
-By casting them you have to mean to control someone/cause unbelievable pain/kill someone.
No other spell or plant needs this level of dedication and they all can be blocked. That's why these are Unforgivable
You can for example fight off Imperius but you can not block spell if casted on you
"The Cursed Child, unfortunately."
Thanks for your honesty. XD
You’re welcome lol
Still wasn't the best book to offer, but we'll have to deal with it
bro NEVER misses a chance to throw some shade to The cursed child and I’m living for it
All of us do since it came out
Morgan ain't an amazon delivery driver but he never fails to deliver
Fun fact: in the French version of the books and movies, the Crucio curse is named "Endoloris".
Umbridge=torture
I mean it’s accurate being around Delores Umb*tch is torture
Makes sense, as "pain" in french is "douleur." And in Spanish, it is "dolor."
@@j-rey- Yes, I know that (I'm French, and I'm fluent in Spanish), and "endolori" means "in pain" in French.
Umbridge's favorite spell
I still refuse to believe the Cursed Child as cannon
MovieFlame never fails to disappoint us with his videos.

Who me if I did I'm sorry. 😞
Why are you disappointed???
“MovieFlame never fails to DISSAPOINT us with his videos.”
"And the cursed child unfortunatly"
I always felt that Memory Charms should be Unforgivables too. Erasing and manipulating people's memories, or even planting false memories, that sounds like something on par with Imperio.
It's actually worse than Imperio because it's effects are permanent.
It's actually worse than Imperio because its effects are permanent.
Or sectumsempra and reductor.
If you use sectumsempra on someone and get caught they'll arrest you probably, so it has the same effect
The Memory Charms are not placed in the Unforgivable Curses list because the Ministry has to use it on muggles in case they notice any suspicious magical activity.
You forgot about us the reader getting placed under the Cruciatus Curse. When we read dogshi- I mean Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Lol
Unforgivable Curse Hattrick has me dying
Great video Morgan! The amount of research this wouldve taken is crazy. The editing as always never dissapoints.
The addition of Avada Kedavra to the story was one of the worst decisions in my opinion.
The concept is cool, an unblockable curse that kills you instantly, but the lack of limitations means that every villain only uses the same green beam, which ruins any creativity in magical duels.
The reason Dumbledore VS Voldermort is the best duel in the franchise is because it's one of the only fights that isn't just two guys shooting lasers at each other.
So you want two wizard guys trying to kill eachother just shooting random lasers at eachother, or either large water bubbles and self controlled fire snakes, Sure that's cool but, hang on I'm too lazy to delete this comment so I'm just doing this.
In the movies, they definitely spam Avada Kedavra. But in the books, the bad guys don’t really use it all that often (except the one Death eater in HBP). The reason is, using an Unforgivable in the middle of battle is difficult. It takes a lot of concentration and anger, not to mention you have to be a pretty strong wizard to use it in the first place. Plus there’s the collateral damage element. Going back to HBP, the Death Eater (I think Rowle) was firing killing curses everywhere, and accidentally killed a Death Eater rather than one of the good guys. It also seems like the easiest spell to dodge, so maybe it shoots slowly? Hermione, Ginny, and others directly dodged it, whereas the other spells tend to connect pretty frequently.
I think the strategy in the high level duels is to shoot a lot of jinxes/hexes, then once their guard is lowered/they’re injured, use Avada Kedavra. That’s what most Death Eaters did against Order members.
But I also see your point. I think one big change that could’ve been made is make Avada Kedavra block able and slow. That would make it so it’s still a super dangerous curse, but an on-guard wizard can always block it. It would give a lore reason as to why the bad guys don’t just spam it 24/7.
@@SJ-di5zu If you were talking about them dodging it in HBP they had the luck potion
@@bellatorbacon5861why weren’t they all on the luck potion 24/7 tho
@@Alphoric excessive consumption is highly toxic and can cause extreme recklessness.
Great video as usual! I'm just nitpicking here as a huge book fan but if I remember correctly voldemort used the killing curse several times during his fight with Dumbledore. First trying to kill Harry but Dumbledore protected him with the wizard statue, then Voldemort missed a few and then Dumbledore dodged one by disapparating and blocked few more of them with the statues. But anyways I like these Potter videos a lot as well as the Percy Jackson videos. Keep up the great work!
Hi Morgan, could you do a video about squibs. I feel they are very underrepresented in the fandom.
I don't think Harry and Dumbledore apparating in the movie is that bad, in the book Dumbledore allows the students to apparate in the great hall to practice for their exam so it's not too unbelievable that Dumbledore can apparate inside Hogwarts
Nah, it’s not about rules. The castle has enchantments and charms which prohibit apparating within the walls or grounds. They lift these spells during those lessons.
Thank you for the amazing video. So much knowledge and tiny facts in one vid. It must have taken quite a bit of time. Very impressive. Also love your video's, there is always so much love and detail in them. You show so much passion in everything you make.
Another great video as always! 😊 Thanks Morgan.
For them to be “unforgivable” we really don’t see that many negative consequences for the castor
They go to prison. Azkaban
At the time when the trio were on the run the cursed were legalized when the death eaters and Voldemort took over the ministry
@@Pattmore yeah that’s the law and what’s supposed to happen but throughout this video how many times did that actually happen
@@lightning7234well most of the uses that were left unpunished were cast either before the creation of that law, by the good characters with plot armour and when Voldemort got control over the ministry. Most of the evil users of the curse were captured but I agree they are way to common to be called unforgivable curses. They should be called the tree evil curses or something like that.
I've heard somewhere that the more you use unforgivable curses the more your soul gets tainted
"Castor" ? Castor is French for "beaver". I think you mean "caster".
Love your videos, keep posting more Harry Potter videos
Hi Morgan I love your videos and good luck in your channel!
I saw this on my Home Screen and immediately was interested both with the title and with the image, amazing work on getting me interested before I even clicked the video!
This was a great video! :)
Amazing video I’ve been wanting to it for months 😊Also happy holidays
Lately I've been watching some of your older Harry Potter videos and I have to be honest, they are extremely good!!! There's more information in one video then some creators have in their entire HP fan channel. It's clear that you do extensive research for each video, assume that comes from the passion that you have for your content.
I didn't even watch this video yet, but I know it's about to be another MovieFlame banger!
Love your videos and how they explain the lore in Harry Potter 👍
So, cursed child happened in 2020??
No wonder 2020 got so cursed in real life also......
Great video once again !!
Very nice video Movieflame!
Love your vids man!
It took me a while to realize this, but the reason why “Moody” asked Longbottom to see the Cruciartus curse it’s because it wasn’t moody, but Barry Crouch Jr. The same person who had used the curse on Neville’s parents.
He was doing it to show that he could. Barty Jr. Was a good teacher, but a terrible human being.
Movieflame never fails to disappoint ur expectations
Thanks for the video, enjoyed it.
Hey Morgan love your vids
Morgan I love your videos 😁😁
Yay, you’re back! 😊
Movieflame never misses🔥
Make this Riordanverse video Part 1: A Character Design Video
Ex: Percy- male / teenager / disheveled black hair / sea green eyes / olive skin / thin / silly / sarcastic
Poseidon- male / adult / black hair / sea green eyes / tan skin / black beard / Hawaiian shirt / khaki shorts / sandals / friendly
Annabeth- female / teenager / tan skin / curly blonde hair/ grey eyes / serious / athletic figure
Athena - female / adult / olive skin / black hair / grey eyes / Greek style armor / white robes
Nico- male / kid / pale skin / messy jet black hair / black skull shirt / black jeans / aviator jacket / skinny / brown eyes
I don't get how love potions aren't outlawed, considering how immoral and wrong they are.
They kinda are, but they are legal if the person gives consent (it makes s** more fun i guess lol)
I think this is completely off topic from the video but rewatching harry potter rn and keep thinking about what would've happened if the weasleys raised Harry.
Awesome video, as always dude!
Awesome video. ^^
Harry using the cruciatus to defend mcgonagall is my favourite scene in the entire series
Personally it's one of the scenes I dislike the most
@@pietroghsvf I can understand why. I just feel the complete opposite lol
I really enjoyed the video. You did a fantastic job on this video. I didn’t know how many people use the three unforgivable curses. I just know it from the Harry Potter series and the Hogwarts Legacy game. Thank you for all that you put your knowledge and information into these videos. I really enjoy looking and knowing more about the books and maybe possibly the Hogwarts Legacy game maybe in the future?
You should look into reading the books, or at least watching the movies. I imagine a lot of it is spoiled for you, so I’d get why you wouldn’t want to invest the months on reading the 7 books, but have a movie marathon one week and enjoy! The movies are pretty great even if most of us do prefer the books.
@@SJ-di5zu
I agree the boats are really good and the movies are really pretty, but I have both I have the movies and the books I just know don’t get mad at me when I say this I just prefer looking up things and watching videos on the Harry Potter series, that’s more of my cup of tea, even though some people don’t even do that I just do that because it gives me more knowledge of Harry Potter and the Hogwarts Legacy game that I’m currently playing now again please don’t get mad at me for my answer, but I really do agree with you with all you have to say.
Love your vids
Meant to ask this for a while now but since when is Hogwarts Legacy canon? Jk wasn't involved in the making process and I haven't seen anything abt her approving it.
It's not canon, however, I think Joanna said that if you want you can make it canon
The Unforgivable Curses were made by the three brothers. Avada Kedavra, the killing curse was made by Antioc with an unbeatable wand, the Cruciotis Curse was made the Cadmus who made a powerful stone, and the Imperious Curse was made by Ignotus, who wanted peaceful ways with the Cloak of Invisibility.
??? i don't recall that ever happening, the 3 brothers only had the deathly hallows in their ownership, nothing else...
@@bread_jinie_7I think that's just a theory, a film/book theory!(you probably don't understand that reference)
thanks for watching@@Sybry605
The names of the brothers also go hand in hand with the names of the curses.
@@michaelgilding6531 that is very true i will not lie
I’ve always thought how James’s death didn’t put a love protection on Lilly and Harry
Because he wasn’t offered the choice
I like this idea of a video and the video itself
Your videos are the best.
Missed you man
the real unforgivable curse, is the existence of the cursed child and it's popularity with people.
Pls make a video on wizards vs muggles, if there was a war. Like if magic could stop a nuclear bomb etc, that would be awesome! Love all your videos btw
Early-ish. Love Ur videos 😍. I watch them every time I'm bored 😅 (alOt).
OMG 🤯. I'm normally left in the jungle with the jaguars but YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY ✨✨✨✨✨
I love how all these illegal curses seem to just pass the ministry by but they’re so quick to give Harry a trial for using the Patronus charm
U are such an inspiration to me I even just started my on channel
I like how the killing curse is unforgivable but a bunch of other spells that could easily kill are fine, like diffindo
Finally a Harry Potter video
amazing video
Love it❤❤❤
I think Ron or Neville should’ve used an Unforgivable. Maybe Ron kills Greyback for what he said he’d do to Hermione and for killing Lavender, or he kills Rowle for killing Fred? I don’t know, I feel like it’d be an awesome revenge plot. And we all know who I’m implying Neville should’ve killed/tortured. Bellatrix!
One of the themes of Harry Potter is revenge imo. Harry has to kill Voldemort, but he also wants to. He wants the revenge. Snape gets revenge on Voldemort for killing Lily. Sirius and Lupin seek revenge on Wormtail, Harry seeks revenge on Snape over Dumbledore, Molly on Bellatrix… I think it could’ve been so powerful if Ron and/or Neville killed prominent Death Eaters in retaliation for what they did.
Would have been cool to see Neville get his revenge on Bellatrix. Killing her would be a bit too much, but still, I wanted something.
I don't think Harry wanted to kill Voldemort- he just wanted to stop an evil force, but because of the prophecy killing Voldemort was inevitable, also because he just wouldn't give up or surrender.
Usually, revenge is represented as a negative- those who seek revenge get punished for it (the bad guys) or get over it (the good guys).
Also Rowle didn't kill fred
I get that revenge angle, would be very cool but the whole point of the story is that vol and harry are so alike yet so different. Vol is defined by his cursed birth and evil choices, where as harry is defined by his genuine connections and good heart, if the good guys started using curses to harm it would change them forever into the very thing they swore to destroy
Great video. Minor nitpick: In the books Bellatrix definitely doesn't use Avada Kedavra on Sirius. The jet of light that hits him is red, not green.
Still waiting for the Slytherin and Hufflepuff rankings lol.
Morgan knows every detail in Harry Potter as if he had been really to the wizarding world.
Epic. Very cool!
19:07 that bonus death was the Minister of Magic Pius Thicknesse
Honestly Mad Eye teaching a bunch of teenagers using the 3 unforgivable curses at once after he vowed to only use them when necessary should probably have alerted someone.
I'd love for u to start making videos related to game of thrones
You should do a video ranking every single Harry Potter chapter
Curse child aka the fourth unforgivable Curse
Honestly to me, it looks like Isidora’s smiling as her lifeless body falls to the ground, and that alone creeps me out.
Bro “ the unforgivable curse hat trick” got me
Man u need to make a video about the cursed child trailer!
Unforgivable Curse hat trick, I love it

I love u used hogwarys legacy logo of the cursed spells
At least Krum can be spared, due to proving that he was under the imperious curse.
#TheCursedChildIsNotCanoninAnyWay
Don't worry Morgan, because that play isn't canon in any way for all the reasons you pointed out
I think the other games are canon and I do believe some limited things from the movies are canon
According to JK Rowling they are not
@@MovieFlame ok but I did say limited and things here’s a good video you can do the life story of avatar aang
@@MovieFlameto heck with Rowling. She really doesn’t care about what’s cannon anymore (the cursed child mess)
Are all of these occurrences in the books? Some just in the movies? I don’t recall some of this info. Where did the backstory history of The Curses come from?
All from the book
i just love how this guy hates the cursed child so much xD
I don’t know if you still plan to do either of the Muggles vs Wizards war video you placed or writing your own sequel without restrictions video like you said in the past, maybe you forgot or maybe you just haven’t yet but thought I’d comment as a reminder
Does anyone think that what happened to the Riddles be a part of a true crime podcast because of how mysterious thier deaths were 🤔 4:58
