Dw about this:
#anime #baki #recordofragnarok #kenganashura #netflix - Krátké a kreslené filmy
I heard sakamoto days is having its anime on netflix. Hopefully it turns out good
I don't think so, Netflix has a curse with fighting mangas
The animation is the most important
Weeb, my man, you are the most influential and beloved fighting manga content spreader on the platform. And i respect you for that. Truly.
But just how can you say ‘the most underrated fighting manga’ and totally sleep over Tough? In my opinion, Garouden is more of an obscure and hidden gem while Tough is the one truly underrated. The artwork and manga panels are legendary, and don't get me started on the cover/volume art which more often than not puts Baki and Kengan to shame, and it's level of bulshido/suspension of belief is just the amount present in Baki. If I'm not wrong, Tough was rivalling Baki back in the days, but Baki eventually edged out Tough in popularity. But imo Tough is still the more primarily martial arts focused IP, with MMA being the core focus.
Thanks man 🫡. I really need to finish my tough read through and make a vid
Wait, really? I thought some big studios would adapt it kinda like how most Shounen jump series got, but oh well, hopefully, they don't fumble this one
I think the Kengan Ashura anime animation style is pretty good because it makes the characters fighting seem more realistic with 3d animation.
People don't realise that
It's ok but it looks janky at times
@@kameronjones7139 *at times tho, not even enough to take you out of the experience. (maybe a lil janky on the long hair department of Karla and Kiryu)
But it's undoubtedly beautiful most of the time
@yeahah3617 it really isn't beautiful, just tolerable enough to watch
@@kameronjones7139 Beauty in the Eye of the beholder I guess…
I think Baki was decent but man..Doran vs Doppo was something else lol
Kengan is just too good.
Kengan ashura is probably the best animated fighting anime out of the 3
It’s a Shame not all mangas get the respect it deserves while some more mid Stuff does
On god bro , some mid ass random slice of life show having insane
Animation while a popular manga known for its crazy fights given the absolute worst animations dawg . Shits unfair
I really need to know what people’s definition of great animation is
jjk,demon slayer fights
Basically
If the colors are constantly changing with subtle background movements and minor details like a twitch, breath inhale/exhale *AND* 'emotions' on the characters faces/moments
Everyone's Go-To is JJK and Demon Slayer, One Piece has it's moments, but everyone sucks the holy hell out of Luffy's Gear-5/JoyBoy moments.
Honestly, like whatever you enjoy and avoid the 'great animation' people since they can be vicious people and tell yu 'xyz' and why that anime sucks because bias reasons
@@HebiSaru21 yeah like the only bad animation that I think of is that 3d shit like from Netflix Baki season one those fight scenes holy shit it was terrible but besides that I don’t understand what is “good animation” like the anime will NEVER be like the manga
@@tanyalalaby937 it's awkward when anime shuffle 3D & 2D like Baki did, or Attack on Titan did in seasons 2 & 3
Kengan is mostly (80% I wanna say) 3D with random 2D moments, but flows into it, not randomly slapped on, like Dorian dancing before Dopo threw a rock at him in season 1 of Baki (prisoners)
It's honestly why I avoid a Massive amount of anime. I wanted to watch JJK but damn people make anything hard to enjoy by getting in someone's business and over explain a scene/moment and how it's better animated than other anime(s) and belittle stuff. Liked seeing Mahito's Domain Expansion when fighting Yuji & that Google guy, but everyone bashed how it's better than DBZ, Naruto, most of One Piece moments... I hate the anime community ironically because animations is a bigger focus than the plot... Voice acting (sub vs dub) is also a bigger focus than the plot too and people can REALLY ruin anything with their opinions and oppression of how anyone's taste is shit if they have a different take/opinion
Kengan 3D animation is better than baki's 2D animation
Real talk
I like Baki’s 2D style but sometimes it’s like watching a powerpoint slideshow 🤣
Well, the last fight we got between Baki and Yujiro was miles above previous seasons of Baki(not better than Kengan in choreography by any means) but it seems like the studio that does Baki and Baki as an anime has and will continue to evolve as long as they were given the budget by Netflix
We all know dawg😅
The originali Baki series had far better fight animation
Kengan was a series that captivated me with moreso the characters than the chi style, but didn't get points taken away because of the cgi. Then on second watch I was like "Damn the animation is actually sick as hell." It's one of the more appropriate uses of cgi.
Dude great video, with how much each series's fans watch atleast 2 or all 3 of these shows, it's actually crazy how this genre got done dirty
Gaolang vs Agito was super animated.
Everyone 2008-2020: CGI Sucks, it ruins EVERYTHING
Now: OMG anime looks like a PowerPoint slide, we need 3D so it feels more real and less lazy
Personally I hella rock with kengans art style. I low key was hoping the Baki characters would be 3D too
Conspiracy theory: it’s not the CGI that people hate about Kengan, it’s the use of real techniques. Think about it, Hajime No Ippo is OBJECTIVELY the best sports anime yet some people place their Blue Lock opinions over actual fact (and anyone who ACTUALLY competes knows the ideal mindset is far darker and more unhinged than “ego is good”). Why are people giving Ippo’s flowers to Blue Lock? It’s cuz they’re watching something they can do, but can’t do. So it offends them
I wouldn't have gotten into Kengan if it weren't for the mocapped 3D fights of the anime
I'm just a huge sucker for it, while "off" at first, it starts to feel very natural and "realistic", and 2D imo wouldn't be able to convey what the manga intended to
If you think this is bad, just remember Berserk, the undisputed #1 best manga of all time and one of the best stories ever told period STILL doesnt have a good anime adaptation
Beserk is amazing but it aint top 1 top 10 for sure tho
@@dgguy6money wise, that goes to One Piece.
@@dgguy6tweakin it’s def the best of all time only thing I’ve read that comes close is vagabond
Ngl I wish you gave this baki feedback to Netflix & they could hear our voice. I also hope they work on the animations for baki as well.
Legendary as always sir.
I dunno man. I never really had an issue with Baki's animation personally. Not sure I'm seeing what you're seeing. You should make another video going more in depth of about Baki and showing specific examples of your criticisms.
I'm glad they won't be using 3D animation in the Baki x Kengan collab, not because I think the 3D looks bad, in fact it's what makes me like the kengan anime more than Baki. But lets not forget how atrocious Baki looked when they used 3D in its early episodes. I don't trust this studio with 3D animation lol.
I like kengan cuz when baki fights happen someguy spends 5 minutes talking about a move nobody cares about
Garouden might be the best upcoming one but I wanted it to be done in the baki art style the game was fun
I mean if fan animations can do decent manga recreations then big studios with more money and teams should be able to do it.
The first netflix season of baki is what got me into the series, but once I started reading the manga I was like "DAMN this is WAY better than the anime holy shit". I didn't even bother watching the second season because why would I? I've already read the pickle arc in the clearly superior form.
Personally, crafting a fighting animation usually involves some description of compromise. Cost, speed, quality
Kengan opted fully for CGI animation sprinkled with much more traditional flashbacks. The one massive advantage is that 3D animation effectively conveys movement requires less time to achieve the same effect as 2D animation and can be amazingly precise and kinetic and being able to map it to a real human being gives the movements a degree of grace one would have to work really hard on otherwise. The one flaw is that you can't be ultra expressive with the models without it seeming weird; by choosing this medium you are choosing to go for a much more grounded look. I think while it can look. Personally, I think the CGI created a really distinctive look that distances itself from a lot of other anime.
Compared to Baki, which is extremely beautiful (most of the time. Doppo vs. Prisoner (I can't remember his name, it's been a while) has some absolutely appalling CGI which looks really odd.) but it's also really weird and tepid in it's flow at it's absolute worst, and record of Ragnrock looks like pretty much all the worst elements of Dragon Ball Z made an anime, I'm not talking the cool martial arts, but it's literally held together with duct tape and shortcuts. Like, the barrage of fists? Slashes? You don't see them. You just see two characters standing there while the effect is doodled in. Dragon Ball Super has some incredible animation (particularly some of the movies, and that Gohan movie even used 3D animation to basically act as a pilot for future Dragon Ball content, I'm willing to bet if they released another series, it would be entirely 3D animation with some sprinkles)) but most of it literally is pretty basic since they have to rush it out on a pretty constant schedule. The really good stuff is only shown in a handful of episodes.
Both baki and ror imo is just poorly animated especially baki the only problem i have with kengan is the skipped content other than that it's got a solid adaptation
Kengan's 3d style did throw me at first but I got used to it I still prefer a good 2d style and am glad the cross over is in 2d.
I got into kengan through the anime despite how shitty it was. As long as I can tell what’s happening in the action, I’ve learned to be content. I however am tired of the people adapting the fighting manga into anime taking some or all of the heart out, I fell in love with kengans characters, the badass fights were just a bonus
they better not sell the qin shi huang fight
Kengan's anime complete coverage of the manga, the issue I have is the nuisance is removed Tokita Nikita impact is made into a pass reflection in still frame photos, they are all grainy.
Baki's anime needs to remove the flash during attacks, can't get the related impact it becomes blinding part of it is out of view.
It’s just, extremely sad to see a slice of life anime with smoother “fight scenes” than the entirety of Baki.
I would say the biggest problem is they are not popular with a Japanese audience.
This is why we are not having larger studios pick up these manga's to turn them into quality animes.
Japanese audiences seem to be more concerned with complete escapism and anything based on real world abilities like martial arts is seen as too familiar.
Probably just reminds them of how bad their lives actually are as being a skilled martial artist is something they could practically achieve.
There seems to be no motivation to succeed in real life activities in Japoan.
Only watch content that has no allegory to real life.
It’s weird, back then One Piece had some less than savory animation to it! Now it’s… Above most of everything I watch, and then there’s Kengan, Baki, Ragnarok, heck I don’t like it but even Berserk, who’re given the short end of the stick.
Arguably, this is because One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen and whatnot are Juggernauts, and the Fighting Anime Community is only now seeing a sort of resurgence but still. You’d think with a resurgence the studios or Netflix would want to present quality stuff to attract more!
Obviously though animation isn’t everything, I believe the guys reanimating one piece also made that Ryuma Short Episode recently, and while I loved it the animation was absolute garbage, but the Father and Son fight of Baki… well obviously fans have unrealistic expectations sometimes, but shows like One Piece exist nowadays which take expectations and kick them in the nuts to have them set even higher!😂
What’s worse is, One Piece is weekly! Even if they take some breaks sometimes, in comparison a show which releases in batches has no right to look like garbage in comparison to a weekly show!
Of course it’s money. Being honest I did not know what Baki was until Pickle Wars Trailer appeared, the manga isn’t even in America save on the internet! But, it’s still no excuse for some of the poor messes we get when those with less have done 100 times better!
Kegan has great animation. Baki could be better but at the same time works way to well as is. Everything else i do agree with
hope garouden comes out well.
imo baki isnt that bad fr
Everyone should look at Jujutsu Kaisen for what a good fighting anime should be like
animation-wise, netflix baki has come a long way from the awful cgi in baki 2018 but I was expecting a whole lot more from its biggest fights such as the baki vs yujiro fight as well as the previous baki vs pickle fight since a lot of it were just still images with action lines. heck even kaku vs yujiro to a certain extent. it even seemed like retsu's random boxing arc received more animation budget at times.
if anyone still remembers the backlash from that the overhaul vs lemillion fight got in mha, that was about a similar amount of disappointment I got watching those fights in the anime as big fan of those same fights in the manga. I wasn't even expecting one piece wano arc+, opm s1, demon slayer, mushoku tensei, or jjk levels of animation but still hoped for more than what we got.. which is basically powerpoint presentation for the most part. I can settle with animation quality the likes of.. lets say hells paradise, danmachi, sao or nnt s1-s2. while I know it could've been much worse like berserk 2016-17 or nnt s3, but still those fights unfortunately lowered my expectations for the upcoming yujiro vs musashi fight.
p.s. I dont hate the baki anime, I just think it deserves much better than what its getting especially on its most hyped fights in the manga.
One word: Netflix
There trying there best you know
Netflix Baki animation > Kengan PS2 animation
It's Fighting Mangover...
record of ragnarok over one piece is crazy work
It pains me how much influence anime has on a series' popularity/survivability. Just look at, say, Usogui - one of the greatest manga of all time, yet because it had a piss poor anime adaptation in the 00s, very few people know about it. Another example: Toriko, one of the most ridiculously fun shounen manga, wasn't given the chance to get popular due to its awful anime adaptation. Just look at how good the OVA by Ufotable is compared to the Four Beasts fights by Toei. And then you have pretty poorly written and overall average manga like Demon Slayer becoming insanely popular thanks to its anime adaptation (speaking of Ufotable).
Record of Ragnarok is by far the worst offender of the three
I love the Kengan Ashura animation. It's my favourite
Yeah, netflix either goes hard, which is rarely and most of the time there just lazym
Is it Netflix's fault? I thought they just distributed the anime, they don't animate them
Did you see scissor seven?
Kengan animation is the best in fighting anime imo
I will say Baki animation is not that good but it's not bad and the bords of Baki aren't the best there but there a few good Sakuga scenes
3D animation is so wack every form of 3d animation is just ugly. It looks so cheap and like a 2000's brazzilian b movie
No it's not
First?
Firat
Bro Bakis animation is just better than kengehn ashura
🤫
Baki glazer spotted
@@Gutsy_ nah
Obviously
Jujutsu kaisen animation is trash
Well which has better these 3 or JJK
