Good video Ryan!
Glad you enjoyed it
I lost about 75 pounds walking 3 miles 5 days a week... and it didn't matter what I was eating, back in those days I was surviving on delivery pizza and bologna sandwiches. The key was consistency.
Yeah consistency is definitely key
Wow! Very informative video. I have been eating rice as it’s part of Indian cuisine and I also lived in Japan for few years where I the Japanese people eat rice all the time. It all comes down to lifestyle and how much and when we eat it. Staying active helps a lot in maintaining our weight as we all know:)
Thanks for sharing!
Good stuff. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
got a rice cooker recently and it’s a game changer....i use the thing everyday
They are a must own
I follow Durianrider's protocol with a skight change. I eat fruits or a fruit smoothie for breakfast. Rice and curries or roti (im indian) and curries for lunch and dinner. Lunch and dinner are the same. And salads woth lunch and dinner. Only thing i ensure is to ke3p oils to a kinimum, no more than 2 or max 3 tablespoons. And i exercise enough to work off the calories of that oil. Within few days of starting this, i had lost quite a bit of weight but more than that, i was buzzing with energy. The most amazing feeling when lethargy goes away and you have wo kuch energy.
Try it out. It works.
whatever works!!!
walking 20 miles a day is a huge factor so much so that they could probably eat fried chicken as a staple and have amazing results
Yes it is a bit excessive, I think they were just bored. All they had to do was eat rice and stay at a clinic
Look up the Randle Cycle...eat sugar(disguised as "carbs") or fat but try and mix them as little as possible.... good luck with your pancreas and perpetual hunger on this one though.....BTW I bike 5-600 miles a month in "Zone 2", when walking even 7 miles with some hills I can't get beyond Zone 1. Unless you're really unfit and/or big you will struggle to hit Z2 while walking... (unless there's lots of hills, could try "rucking" if it's flat). I'm in the ketovore camp though so never hungry.... lost 20lbs in the last 10 weeks whilst upping my weights on the kettlebells.
I was on keto too until liver, kidneys shut down
@@highcarbregenerator So you must surely have had underlying issues to start with? Sorry to hear that...have you considered going down the prolonged hard dry fasting route? Stopping eating for a while should give the whole system a reset/break? I sometimes wonder WTF I'm doing- seems LCHF and LFHC both have their pitfalls in equal measure, and the middle ground is just obesogenic chow they feed lab rats.... My LDL is astronomical yet every other marker is excellent....Big pharma only look at that and with what I've observed since March 2020 I am never trusting any of these "professional drug pushers" with anything.... Whatever government and their bed partners in industry advise I tend to go the opposite direction.
Who knows I may try the LFHC when this 72hr dry fast ends (40hrs in...), but running on starches and simple sugars really doesn't have much to encourage me... Good luck on your journey....
Ive been watching rural chinese and traditional japanese cooking videos and they all eat high carb moderate to low fat and low protein. The poorer they are the less protein they eat. I wonder if the low protein is more important than low fat for long term health.
Then you watch a Japanese sumo wrestler cooking video and they eat fried foods, lots of meat each meal, cheese and dairy, lots of fat and protein, more like the Anerican diet (yet still healthier due to the miso soups and rice they eat with the meats). The Japanese know that those foods keep you overweight despite the rigorous exercise.
Another observation is Japanese eat large breakfasts, they never skip that first meal, which helps with cortisol and metabolism and they generally eat pretty good portions for all 3 meals so there's no need to binge on sugary fat at night. They ate enough throughout the day.
100%, couldn't agree more
A lot of Europeans cultures also have that meal timing of eating a big meal first thing in the morning, lunch and dinner.
can you post some links to videos? id be curious to see what they’re eating
I have the rice diet book, with all 5 phases of the diet in complete detail ,
That wasn't written by Kempner
Just eat whole goods no oils period. I wonder if millet would be better then white rice for overall health plus digestion, i got a slowed digestive system on rice too bit that was with fruit an veg
rice always constipate me, couldn’t eat it without potatoes/veg 🥔 ( fiber)
Don't know, I haven't actually had millet haha
Just a note: walking is generally zone 1, if you're not hiking. It's zone 2 if you are really overweight and out of shape.
That depends on everyones endurance levels and very sick people at rice diet clinic probably didn't have great endurance
The traditional Korean way of eating is pretty close to the rice diet. Koreans were always healthy and trim, and always walked to the bus or train station, but these days all have cars and younger Koreans are eating a load of processed garbage and meats. They are getting diabetes, high cholesterol, cancer, and obese. It says so much. We use our rice cooker daily.
Yes and it seems Asian people do even worse with western diet than westerners do
Wonder if I could use curry powder on my rice?
Yes you can!
The Japanese evolved special enzymes to digest rice.
we all have the same enzymes
I wish eating carbs increased my temperature.
same
@@ojin7627 I'm already at 30%body fat.
Does fat help with constellation
Not sure what that means
IMHO, In this bizarre yet enchanting correlation, the secrets of the universe and the mysteries of our bodies entwine in a celestial waltz, leaving us to ponder the cosmic consequences of that extra slice of pizza!

sorry....I meant constipation?@@highcarbregenerator
LOL! She probably means constipation. And, yes, fats help you go poop.@@highcarbregenerator
