    You never pulled the breather out of the top of water pump to relieve the air that's why it overheated during the flush ANd took so little water you need to take the big Allen head plug out on top of water pump to properly fill a 5.7 hemi

    Bro I love you for doing this. Just got a 2016 Charger 5.7 and I was trying to figure out what coolant and where the plug to change it because the previous owner put in the wrong coolant. Dealers and mechanics were just telling me to use universal or American Peak and Icouldn’t find the right coolant. Just bought it. You’re a life saver and you earned a like. Oh and it’s called a coolant reservoir!

      For my vehicle it states every 30,000 or two years. It can last longer also. I changed mine because it was dirty and harming the engine.

      Can you explain a bit more in detail as to the problem you are having and what steps did you do in order to get to the issue you are at now?

    Where did you buy your coolant reservoir?

    Question, I have to do my radiator. Would I still need to flush if I’m going to replace the old one?

    • @GTZ_Buildz
      @GTZ_Buildz  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Yes please do flush at the same time

    • @760Hambino

      Damn, my radiator is leaking from the main fat hose on top the engine. So even if I’m going to get a new radiator, I will still need to flush it?

      @@760Hambino
      Is it leaking because the hose has a crack ? Or do you need a new hose clamp? Or is the radiator damaged from that location and that’s why you are changing it?
      Get that leak fixed first and then install the new radiator.
      If the coolant is brand new and the color is still the same as when the coolant was put in then you wouldn’t have to do the flush. Also check the liquid for any dirt or particles of anything, that will also tell you if it’s clean or dirty. If it’s dirty then do the flush. Remember this is your engine and it’s best to keep fresh coolant at all times.

      I’m late but I got a leak and I’m thinking it’s the hose at the top left (if you’re facing the car) was that your issue too or it was the actual radiator?
