This still works as of march 27th 2024…. I struggled for a bit with the wall jump. My breakthrough was understanding where to stand. I used the white dot on the roof of the tower as a reference and placed myself in the bottom left corner like in the video. As I begin running, I held down the grab button (remapped to L1) and jumped at the last moment. A few tries of this and I got it.

No need to rebind controls, and no need to run either. Jump by the left corner of the tower on the side where you'd face the boss, step on the high ground and time your jump while holding Grab. Very consistent once you get it.
@@SasukeUchiha0172 if your character gets stuck while in the middle of jumping, you’re doing it too early. Lower your frame rate to 30 fps if you wanna hit it sooner.
I did it yesterday. Took me like 20 tries until I did the final jump. What I notice is that at the edge of the plataform where you jump there is some sort of invisible space, very small, that allows Sekiro to "float, jump and reach the wall. You can't reach that space if you run towards the corner directly. You have to take the corner from its right edge. At the very end you do a subtle turn to the left (so Sekiro can face the wall) and then press jump. It looks like you are running towards the corner directly but in reality you are doing a right-left movement. It is so subtle and fast that is quite hard to notice it. Not gonna lie. After defeating the Demon using the cheese I felt very dirty.
As of today Jan. 12 2024 this still works! Already faced him fair and square just needed more Lapis Lazuli for the Platinum and less time consumed, subscribed!
This is cool man. I can get the first but not the seocnd; he always comes up short. I beat doh on my immortal severance run long ago, i just dont feel like going through all that again lol Edit: i got it. Thank you for sharing. On the first jump, make sure to jump on the higher elevation slightly to the left of the tower, i was able to do it every time this way. On the second, i couldnt do it no matter what jumping from the corner. Instead, i ran from the back left corner to *slightly* change my trajectory to the flat side at the last second of the top right corner, so that he launched from the flat side. Got it my first try this way. Great vid.
Great tip for any claw players(if you don’t play claw this would still be useful for the one time) bind ru to r1 as well since u don’t need any attack, that way u can hold l1 and r1 while u press jump👍

8/03/23, still works!! Make sure you're careful with the tree part. He got free the first time but on a second attempt he got stuck. Just make sure you hug that left wall and duck in the corner. Also do not attempt to climb the tower before getting him stuck. He can destroy it, ruining your cheese attempt.
FYI this still works ppl 👍 Much appreciated for the video brother! I hate that this boss made me resort to cheese for the first time but it had to be done, least fun boss I've ever fought. Not only are his moves maximum infuriating but the camera takes busted to a whole new level. I couldn't see what was happening majority of the time & the glimpses of what i did catch were just giving me a headache & putting me in a bad mood. I give a lot of praise to the Devs for this masterpiece of a game but with this boss fight they did a terrible job imo. Shame as i was looking forward to this fight. The Ape fights were fun, the camera wasn't an absolute nightmare during those big beast fights. I'll try taking him down legitimately on my next playthrough when the game decides to give me more cash & emblems etc.
@Jonathan Kafu The key is to really change your controller configuration as shown in the video. You want the grab to be the trigger because it's going to be easier to pull of the jump up that rafter thing and then the jump to the roof. Copy exactly where he is showing you where to jump to get to the roof. It takes some practice, but you almost literally have to run to the edge and almost fall off but jump at the last minute. Make sure you are holding the trigger that you configured as grab. Just keep trying, trust me it works.
I recommend running from the left side of that tower to grab hold. The snowy ground's uneven, and it's easier to reach from the left when running parallel to the side shown.
Gonna confirm that this still works and I am playing it on my PS5, only hard part is getting the jump right on that angle but after that you are good to go. Now I am gonna beat him on reflection just so I can sleep knowing I dint cheat XD
That jump to the wall was hell lol. What worked for me was running slightly to the right of the corner, otherwise it would freeze me on the edge instead of taking a step past.
Just did it today 18th April 2024. I kept screwing up the initial jump into the tower at first. Then after many attempts managed the second jump. 15 minutes I won’t get back lol. Cheers for sharing

Run and jump on the left corner of the tower and you’ll get it. Sekiro will automatically reach it and grab the ledge. Give it a try.
