In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. Be sure to stay subscribed to stay up to date with my latest expeditions, y'all! - Zábava
I'm a security guard at a mall and I always look the other way when I see dumpster divers when I'm the only guard on site. If the businesses throw it away they shouldn't keep people from taking it.
If it is on garbage, trowed away, it is garbage, anyone should pick it!! Its no longer property … what a mentality!! Donate is better than put it on garbage it is very selfish atitude and mentality…
Were I'm from you are free to do this if you don't make a mess
Hats off to you!! ❤
Yep,like the old saying, one man's junk is another man's treasure.
Thank you. A lot of stuff thrown away should be recycled if not caught by a dumpster diver. I hate that people just toss everything into the garbage. And it's great that people can make money by diverting the stuff from a landfill. 😊
The lids are not only cherished by canners but crafters use them to make various ornaments. But the best part of you finding them is you kept them out of landfill. Like all the rest of your found treasures. Many Thanks.
You're doing a great service by keeping so much stuff out of the landfill !
I turn scrap metal into precious metals, Gold and Silver! I have dove into dumpsters.....not like Mike does!! WOW man!! You are a legend!!
Man this dude works hard all night with a great attitude. Much respect to you Mike

@@user-bp6wo5ie8t me and you got the same idea this dude must know scarface
I tried to sell a water heater at the scrap place and they wouldn't take it they said it had too much insulation.
just think of the environmental service he is doing by recycling this metal!
MAN, THOSE CANNING LIDS ARE GOLD TO US CANNERS.
Don't think those are lids for standard Ball/Kerr type canning jars.
Looked like for the medium sized pickle jars.
Maybe Mike could take a few minutes to check if they fit Ball type jars or not.
No wonder pickles n stuff are so costly in the socalled US of A .
I know I love to get everyone else's junk to add to my junk
Could use some of those lids. . 😀
For sale by the dozen ???
As a canner, I would be in tears to find so many lids
Not too long ago we couldn’t find lids! Now i pick some up anytime i see them.
@@rosie9714makes me wonder why they were thrown out.
I would check where they were manufactured. I try to stay away from places that like to add lead.
As a crafter I would have struck gold finding those lids.
All those lids makes me sad canning lids are expensive
Back in the 60s when I was a little girl(loving, the grandma life these days! ) there where still honest to goodness dumps - stuff wasn’t buried on a regular basis ever. My Mom and dDad would go to the dump and dig around. There was a lot of nasty stuff but there was also some true treasures. Furniture, tools, antiques, all kinds of good useful/sellable stuff. Lots and lots of scrap metal. Fun times!!
'This' is my favorite scrapper channel!! Mike doesn't have a shy bone in his body when he approaches the dumpsters, and he jumps right in and rummages around inside looking for treasures like the Tazmanian Devil.
That's the best way to do it. Sometimes people will hide stuff for some reason. This is the best time of year to go. Businesses are cleaning out old inventory and they often throw it away as a tax write off.
Mike's my favourite to ... my second favourite is polyprophet 😁
Another booming fun time. Haha 🎉
My favorite scrapper too! Keeps his videos lively with all his antics and shenanigans 😂😂

Your dumpster diving agility is amazing. All those lids in the trash is angering. Love seeing you salvage them! 👍👍👍
sell them to someone who likes to can and make stuff in mason jars. sell by the poi d
You were blessed richly on this night! Don't forget to thank God❤
The beeping and then the explosion... scared my cats with my laughing! 😂😂
0:15 Thanks Mike and congratulations on 573k subs. One million is just around the corner. Mike.
You mean 473k subs.🥷
The StarWars scene when Luke and Hahn are stuck in the garbage compactor always comes to mind when Mike's really getting after it. And as any real scrap man knows getting after it is the only way to be successful in this line of work. As my big homie Gates says, "big steps, move in silence." Keep getting it Mike, JunkinJakeJones
Years ago we used to trash pick. The amount of valuable stuff we found was amazing
Mike, the most cultured scrapper. Speaking in tongues and such 😁
Muchas Gracias!
It is early evening in the UK, it is great to see another dive from the greatest "Mike the Scavenger" 😍😍😍😍
Can we scrap electronics for cash here or have we. Got to give it to the council for free.? I haven't got enough to take to the scrappy to find out but I could get enough if I could sell it!😉
Love this! Some peoples trash is others peoples treasures 🙏🏻🔥♥️ love how he appreciates everything...
So much Stuuuuufffff, your enthusiasm is boundless. You go for the little stuff and after that anything large is a bonus. Thanks for preventing all that needless landfill
Wow, productive night, Mike!! And the neutron bomb footage was hilarious 🤣
That actually made me jump!! 😂😂
All that fun in a dumpster and getting bombed in the same night. These are the things dreams are made of.
Oh man Mike!! I just love your videos!! You're so funny! You're such a hard worker!! You not only make my day better... but you make thousands of people happy 😊. Stay safe ❤
You blew the lid off on this one !!
One time I found a whole butt load of keys in a dumpster. Between the mountain of keys and a couple brass fittings I also found I filled up a 5 gallon bucket. That was a decent turn in.
Praise be! Perfect timing and just what a lazy Saturday afternoon demands. Thanks Mike!
I can’t explain it, but this video feels like the therapy I’ve been needing lately.
A Man's Trash is another's Man's Treasure.. 👍
2 hours old and 14k views.
Way to go MIKE!!
😂 I was right there with you when the bomb went off ❤️
Right on my friend!!!!!!! I made a good living scrapping years ago.love to see your videos and hope you fill your truck each time you go out!!!!!!! $$$$$$$. Oh yeah!!!!!! God bless 👍👍👍👍👍❗❗❗‼️
The things folk fling out ,the old saying when we where brought up is ,Another man's rubbish is another man's treasure so true 👍🤗🇬🇧
@Mike the Scabber, you're my hero.. I love all your videos of scabbing.
last year there was a lid shortage, this year Mike is finding them in the trash.
Not the same kind of lids
They dont want you canning your own food.
Well done Mike. The person that chucked the lids in the bin isn’t the brightest person. They could of got a few quid and done some recycling.
Unreal what folk throw away.
Glad you are taking advantage of numpties Mike.
Stumbled upon the channel.....and glad I did. What a great scrap channel
Hey Mike, Why don't you try to sell all those lids. I'm sure you'll find a lot of people that can their own veggies, sauce and so on. Nothing better than a great deal on lids. That's what they have to buy every year. Take care and be safe.
Always happy to see Mike!
Absolutely love you Mike the scavenger. You are so full of energy. You make scavenging fun…
Mike, show us how you process the wire that you find. Love watching you scavenger!
When you bumped your knee Mike ,so funny 😅😅😅
The cartoon explosion really made me laugh hard. I love it.... Mike for president!
We should be thankful guys like this salvage things from the trash. Cities have gone with designated trash cans for use and have killed free roadside picks. They need to rethink that
The explosion image at 19.45 seconds of the video was perfect, your smile is a different beauty mıkee 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This brought me joy. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great night, a full truck load Mike. Love it!
All those cases of lids can bring a lot of money to sell. Probably more than scrapping them. Canners would be so happy with those lids.
Yes they would. Not so much if they're made in China.
For sure canning lids got real hard to find ! Sell them suckers
Depends....on the size of the jars that they will fit on.
If they're not standard canning jar sizes like the wide mouth or regular mouth.
From the video they kind of looked like the size you would find on the medium sized pickle jars.
@@donaldcadwell3911 That is what I am thinking too. But, I reuse all jars and so do my Amish friends up here nin northern mo. They would love for me to work a deal and get some cases of them lids. Shred steel is what, $.03/lb right now. And shipping ups would be cheap. Right price and I might snap them all up!
They didn't look like mason jar lids.
this very old moonshiner would love one of those boxes or two lol
At least this dude can make dumpster diving sound exciting.
L M A O , im still crying from the explosion set up , nice job on ur set up / editing , as always great vid keep up the good work.
Mike, getting your exercise in on this one. 😎
The music when you found the lids was absolutely perfect! I'm in tears lol.
Thanks for keeping us entertained!
Thanks for the adventure,Mikey!!!!!!
For all the young folks watching. If you hustle like this fella, I don’t care if you are a professional dumpster diver, you will find success.

Would LOVE to see an in-depth video of what you do with all the plunder AFTER the dives. Like do you sell the good stuff or do you bust it all down to components and sell for scrap or what?

That doesn't answer his question
If he showed us that, the trash resources might become somewhat attenuated by the competitive pressures...
I get bummed when I realize it's the last dumpster. 😟☹😊

I would sell mine, too, but he was born 42 years ago. 😂

He sees something in a lot of "trash". A kindred spirit
Great haul Mike and the explosion just caught me off guard! 👍
Awesome video man I've been watching all your older videos also I really like when you mix the dumpster diving and the curbside together you find some pretty awesome stuff but most you make me laugh a lot thanks for the laughs
I used to do the same thing when I lived in Clearwater, Florida. My favorite dumpsters were the ones behind stores like Family Dollar, cvs, etc..
one mans garbage is another mans GOLD lol
