I have the Bambino Plus, the timer isn't meant to be very good, so if you want more consistency you can use the manual shot. I hold the double button for 8 seconds (preinfuse) then let go to let the shot run. I also run with a scale underneath to get the ratios consistent due to the inconsistent timer.
I have the DF64E which you can run similar to the P. Both of those are pretty much only for espresso as the range isnt very wide. I have mine dedicated for espresso with SSP MP burrs which are awesome for lighter fruity roasts. Stock burrs are same as regular 64. They are great for most. I’ve tried all the different SSP and they do fine espresso
@@mindfulawareness1 the sweet are very hit or miss for espresso. Check out my write up. www.espressooutlet.net/espresso-outlet-blog/ssp-burrs-turin-df64-in-depth-review/
Not been my favorite. There should be a really nice new machine hitting the market soon that will be much better than this. I like the SD or SK40 over the ESP, ESP would be #3 for the price. Don't like the Opus.
@@portakeeper I am in Canada I see Miicoffee handling the Sd or Sk40 the thing that is pushing towards the ESP is long term support... Folks don't want buy it for life but I get it from a pure performance view the sd or so might be better but hearing some folks not happy with those either.... I am currently using a Kitchen Burr grinder it's very uniformed but I feel it's way too fine on the drip setting and french press is non existent.
I like that you talk a lot which includes a lot of information I wanted to know. Thank you!!!!

They say it can't do light roasts well. Would like your take on that.
Good review. I’d like to see the automatic frothing. Have a great weekend.
I need to grab some milk!
@@portakeeper I would like to see if latte art is capable with the auto frothing
@@CabeensCoffeeCorner hahaha I am bad at art with a good machine.
Is it possible to pull a split shot with that portafilter? Looks like it might make a mess.
It’s kind of annoying spout spacing. Almost too far apart for single cups but not loads of room for two cups.
What are your views on the DF64P, for those of us who don't want to spend more on the DF83?

@@portakeeper good to know, thank you for your reply. I may go for the 'sweet lab' burrs. I'm espresso only, so the limited grinding range is fine.

How has this held up thinking of getting this and a Baratza encore esp.

How does anyone get 18g in the basket? I can only fit 16g max
Stock really not designed for 18g
Just one thing, you're recording volumetrics not timings when programming the shot buttons
I did just look this up. Surprises me that for the price it does volumetric. Thanks for pointing out. Going to play around with that
@@portakeeper surprisingly capable machine, only thing it's missing is the ability to change temperature really. It's set at 93C by default.
