That’s very true. The worst pain.

Hopefully, this POS will go the way Jefferey Dahmer did. At some point, he'll be in the general prison population. Just put him on a work detail with a couple of other inmates and close the door. The inmates will do the rest
How hard it must be for a judge to read down such a disgustingly brutal list of murders and then the penalties to go with them. It must be a tremendous burden to do something like this with almost no emotion. This lady has my highest respect.
She probably just doesn't care, it ain't that hard you know.

My dad used to work in a prison, and he told me what inmates do to those who are in there for killing children. Cruz’s punishment will not end with the life sentences.
RIP to the 17 dead, and my heart is with their families and everyone else affected by this horror.
He should get karma from other inmates but I guarantee he’s in protective custody
It's nothing but ridiculous when inmates swing themselves up to be the executors over other inmates, independently of what they've done.
What did he told you? What do they to children killers?
I’m not saying nobody in the prison would want/try to kill him but what your father is most likely referring to is adult vs child crimes, adults that commit crimes against children get it bad in prison, he was a child who attacked children it’s a whole different thing entirely
Just like Dahmer he is going to get killed in jail.
I respect the victims’ families sitting through this trial, having to hear autopsy reports, see photos of their dead children. It must be agonizing, but they showed up for their kids.

I like how the judge has to go through each and every single person that this dip killed just to impose life sentences multiple times over, it makes it feel like every single victim had a voice and they weren't all just lumped together into one life sentence
That is the best part because unless stated otherwise she may have had the option to sentence them concurrently instead of consecutively, but she choose correctly to make him serve each sentence one after another.
Still one life sentence. Should have gotten the death sentence
@@Josh_D78 it doesn’t make a difference in Florida but it’s the principle of it all. She’s great.

Ah yes, the effective means of fear.
But not every shooter fears death, perhaps some even seek death. Effective means of execution, but not an effective means of fear for some individuals.

Two others followed her when her no would have been enough to ruin justice. It's the super liberal Broward County ruining their community. Any objective person looking at the scale would have said the aggregators outweighed the mitigation and death is the verdict.... ........ ......... ... The killer is 24. He's already imprisoned for 4 years. If we assume he lives until he's 80, that's basically 3.5 years per victim. ...Should have been death if it wasn't for the silly unanimous requirement (which FL Supreme Court said no longer required) in the super liberal county of Broward. I don't want to pay for his food, heating and the costly end of life care old people get in jails. Should have been a death sentence. A judgement of death (even if not administered until some 15 years later) would have been a value judgement on what he did, unlike what happened here, where his life was worth more than all 17 victims. This is a killer who searched on google "good songs to hear while killing people" before he went to that school. And the mitigation case was thoroughly debunked. 👉🏿 The problem is Broward county is a liberal county, and Before 2016, no unanimous decision was required for death sentences in Florida. The Florida Supreme Court initially erred by saying unanimity is required, before reversing it 2020. In between, the legislature amended the law to comply with the court ruling in 2016, but didn't restored the simple majority rule after 2020. I think the legislature will react quickly and restore the simple majority rule or 9-3 or anything. You know what you sign up for when you serve on death penalty jury. BRAVO 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 to the judge. Devastation across the entire acts he created and performed himself.
My condolences to all the victims. You can tell the energy of the judge went down from reading so many counts on the verdict.
Rip bozo to the kids! Lmao they deserved it and now they are being flame grilled 🔥 😈 🥵💯
she sounded bored
The judge really doesn't know what she is doing. She is in complete panic mode and paid more attention to her looks than reading the case. That is sad
The thing is, if he repented in jail, asked GOD for forgiveness, accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Personal saviour, and be a real Christian, he would most likely go to Heaven.
@@TedEhioghae it is a good thing as A Christian myself. But the worldy view in me as a person it seems like that would be him “getting away with murder” in a sense. But I sin too so it would be hypocritical to me to say he don’t deserve forgiveness
We all do.
I started crying and I can't stop. All those innocent children. I can't even imagine the parents grief.
Me too bro.. such a senseless act.
It's also sad that when one of these videos comes on, I have to ask, what shooting was this??
Smh.
Be a man
ikr
One beautiful thing to come of this is how close the families looked towards one another. It’s gotta be even slightly more helpful to have people that can relate and truly understand what you’re going through rather than doing it on your own. Man I hit him so much.
Long live justice!
This judge is wonderful and good talking to if pick lawyer be you
she took his commisary and any monies he makes under the son of sam law. He will never eat a decent meal in prison or buy anything of comfort like shoes or clothes or items he could use to make his life easier in prison. Nothing but state issued for him for life.
Brilliant. Those things really do make life more bearable for people in prison.
Hope they do this for Darryl Brooks
…and no Vaseline
In prison its the shop that makes it not as bad so i was really glad to hear her impose that on him because school shooters don't even deserve the pleasure something like chocolate ect brings
Is that legal?? That doesn’t seem legal not that it doesn’t seem just in this case but it doesn’t seem legal and that will probably be over turned
good work , your majesty😂
Seeing the parents faces as she read out the judgements just broke me
Same🥺
Wow! Go Judge! After 30 years in law enforcement, I have never once heard a judge order each indictment sentence to run consecutively! This judge is AWESOME! Prayers for the victims and their families.
Same thing with Daughmer and Manson they do this to reconcile parents to the importance of their loved ones. I was a FAC guard and Court field officer
But it makes no sense. A life sentences without parole doesn't matter if its consecutive. The first sentence puts him behind bars until he dies.
@@dinitis It's more symbolic than anything else.
@@dinitis it's just hammering in the fact. Giving respect to the families of the deceased.
Just legal jargon at this point, but in other cases there's still appeals and motions that could be filed.
Couldn't she have ordered an execution?
The trial may be over, but the loss and grief will never be over for these families 💔

May God bless and hold the families and friends of the victims... ❤
Glad to see a judge actually do their job!!!!

"No parent should have to bury their child" - Theoden, king of Rohan
@Chau Pham ok relax satan.
That boy has been suffering from severe mental health issues since his early childhood and it should not be ignored! That judge has no mental health education nor experience and shouldn’t be allowed to sit on that case! No justice was given in that case
The judge honored the victims by stating each name one by one, and as hard as it was for their families to hear that it was important, the final piece of justice for them all.
It’s just legal procedure, not necessarily the judge “honoring” anyone. All the charges have to be read out loud one by one.
@@dino9921 just because it’s also legal stuff doesn’t mean it isn’t honoring the victims. It’s why it’s an important part of our justice system because it’s important they separate each life. Weather they’re angry about the verdict or not, this is sadly the closest the parents will probably ever get to closure. I pray there’s corruption in the jail he’s being held in.

I get the overwhelming feeling from the parents in gallery, that they have a very strong feeling of “now what…” The trial kept them going I bet, impossible as it was to sit and listen. But now it’s over. They will just go back to their lives without their children. I can think of no greater abyss. I wish them a semblance of peace, and happiness. In their children’s names. ❤
This is meant in a positive way, and in no way meant to deny the sorrow and suffering that will remain with the families on some level for life. But most victims don't have the benefit, if that's the right word, to have the whole world mourn with them. Isn't that what we all would wish to have? I hope in some small way that might possibly have helped to take some of the edge off of the pain they have endured.
Thats the start of nightmare

h`ahah indeed
Any life is better than no life. He should have been executed.
@@IMP3TIGO I got the feeling the Judge thought so too. But it is my understanding that in Florida the Judge is bound by the Jury's decision when it comes to the death penalty.
He will get more than 39 life sentences when God judges him.
Why? What would that accomplish? Absolutely nothing. It amazes me the hypocrisy of some people in our society like you. Justice isn't about vengeance.
My hat goes off to this judge. This was a horrific trial, and she was fantastic throughout the entire thing. I love that she said each name. Not every judge gets it right, but she did. Bless you ma’am, for giving justice to these victims and their families.
These reactions make your heart absolutely ache, man. I hope this sentencing eases their pain somewhat.
