My 98 also overheated turned out the fan is connected to the start switch, it gets worn and the fan thermostat won’t work. Check the numbers on the speedometer if the mileage numbers are not showing the fan won’t run. Wiggle the start switch till mileage numbers show fan should then run

I have a 2000 polaris sportsman 500 4x4 and the battery is saying 12.99 and I finally found where the voltage regulator is! I was wondering how do you get to it in front of the radiator and help would be awesome
