Video interview with sisters Sierra and Bianca Casady from the American freak folk band CocoRosie. FaceCulture met with Sierra and Bianca and spoke about the new album Tales of a Grass Widow, the subject of their songs, environmental awareness, and the end of the earth, new beginnings, gender perception, their last album, men and women and making their new album, collaborations, feminism, writing lyrics and lots more! I love the FaceCulture interviews with CocoRosie :') They seem to be the most awkward interviews, yet they're the longest interviews we seem to get haha
I get so mellow and relaxed listening to these two talented, original, and creative women!
Bianca looks like a painting here :) Yes, clearly they don't enjoy the interviewer, and if you search for their other interviews on here, this is the fourth time he's interviewed them. I've watched all of them (naturally) and he doesn't ask the best questions... and his pace makes them antsy, I think. It's funny, it's the same situation over and over.
What is wrong with all of you who are commenting. Just be quiet and listen. I feel that you all don't understand what it is they're trying to say, If you can't identify with the simplicity of what there saying, and be able to understand the issues for which they're sharing, then why do you listen to their music?
I agree. They are not awkword, they are very much in controle here and how they act. this makes them even more interesting
I just started listening to Cocorosie and they are undoubtably awesome, however they would probably be hard to go out and have a beer with. Lol
Do you see the pain in Bianca's eyes? Do you think a person carrying that much pain thinks they are "god's gift to mankind"? It may be true, but I see a girl who has taken so many punches from the world, she is too tired to put on a smile when she doesnt feel like smiling.
But you know, some celebrities can pretend to be perfectly polite and hold the most beautiful smile on their faces. Yes, its a pleasant image. I just think you should value whats real, even if its not smiling at you.

These women are beautiful inside and out. They are unbelievable spirits gracing us in this world full of madness and negativity.

I shroomed the other day and some things were revealed. One thing was I envisioned a show. The other, I was told, “ The blind are teachers of intimacy.” I was presented a path to find a blind teacher. I was given a name, the name was 0 Optimistic.
Through my random searching for my show I came upon cocoRosie. Maybe by design we are meant to meet.

How do you know they didn't watch first and then comment?? Besides, its definitely possible to enjoy someones music without embracing every single idea behind it..
I wish I could ask them more creative questions, this is more commercial.

i don't see that at all. And besides, interviews don't exactly give the most accurate image of celebs. Not everyone has the strength or will to keep up a happy image and face while being asked the same awkward and annoying questions over and over again. I know i wouldn't.
This interview is so awful: you can see by their body language that they don't want to be there.

This is honestly a terrible interview. And not even because of either party in particular, but rather because both are completely disinterested on actually talking.
