This movie and Hans Zimmer is why they were oscar worthy. This ending score haunted me through the years because it was like watching two kindred spirits taking flight and the music uplifted you from the reality of their tragic ending. The all time BFF film ever!

I do cry almost every time I hear it and I turn the movie off before the ending cause I don't want their journey to end. One of my very favorite films and a great score.
Harvey Keitel running after them in slow motion trying to stop them also brings a lot of emotion to the scene but in a subtle way

It absolutely is. I never imagined it could charm me in the way it did. It was the late night film on tv here and I stayed up watching it. In the end I was a crying mess of joy :p It felt very liberating. The movie has a beautiful message.

1:14 Really hits because the moment the car flies off the cliff, pretty much signifies Thelma and Louise's freedom and flight to be wild.
As sad as it was to watch them commit suicide, and it's never the answer. They had difficult lives, and went through traumatic experiences, they were released from the shackles of life.
(I'm also just speaking in the context of the story, not about reality)

I remember when this film came out and a lot of people were shocked they ended their lives, but if you think about it they had no other options. They killed the man who hurt someone, and (like a lot of the time), the woman is to blame. They were friends, had difficult lives, and I'm glad the characters got to end their lives on their own terms instead of a prison somewhere.

I watched this movie for the first time yesterday. I must admit it was extremely sad hence the ending brought me here. Love the guitar sound. Hans never disappoints

The music is so epic and emotional. They'd rather die out in the free world rather than live the rest of their lives in a concrete cage like a zoo.
Maybe it's because I grew up with movies from this era. Or maybe it's because of the kind of films, and the kind of music they wrote back then. But this song, makes me really want to say, "hey, I just watched one hell of a great movie". There is just something about it that has that written all over it.

I sincerely regard this as my favourite Ridley Scott film. Nothing against Blade Runner which I friggin adore as well, but there is just something different, more pure about Thelma and Louise that makes it more special to me. It might not be as deep, philosphical or poetic, but the simple story of this film is just so endearing.
This song makes me feel nostalgic of the loved ones we had the good times with and the loved ones who are no longer here and are dearly missed. But it also gives me a happy feeling of having loving friends and family that have gone on to the other side. All in all I cherish this song

This movie effected me...for many reasons becuz life does end not always on our own terms...so I ordered the DVD movie for my own use to view whenever I want to see it...without any interruptions on tv...the music is fantastic..as is the story...and Harvey Keitel was right these two gals were not the problem...the rest of us are........
