The first time I saw this movie the ending took my breath away, the music, the dialogue, the way it was shot. Was and still so poetic and tragic.
The cop was so great, he was on their side and understood those women, yet helpless to do anything about it.
It’s so rare to see a movie like this with 2 female leads.
This movie inspired me years ago as a young woman to take chances and change my life for the better.
I hope the message of this rare gem of a movie masterpiece continues to inspire many more women like me. Long live Thelma and Louise. ❤️
we should create a new word to say how beautiful this music is, because there isn't one good enough

The music is soulful. When you think about the ending what else kind of ending could there be. Certainly not being shot to pieces like Bonnie and Clyde, being led away in handcuff would be so banal. The ending was perfect.
Sad, but perfect!!!
Richard Silwedel the original ending had Susan Sarandon push Geena Davis out of the car right before it went off. They changed it so both went down together. It was the right decision if you ask me

I just remember the boot going down on the gas pdeal, them holding hands, the cloud of dust, Harvey keitel running behind the car, the picture flying out, fade out...

Fantastic feeling, just like skydiving i imagine, i have done it once and it felt uforric for two weeks, natural high the adrenalin kicked in, i have to do another tendem jump when i turn 65. It's been too long between jumps like 10 years ago, even if it does not feel that long ago, the time flays the older you get, you realise how all your idols and legends are leaving for another life, and like Prince, David B. Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain it's like i will be called to join my son Isaiah, that left when he was seven years old on 17/3/2002 he has been missing from me for 18 long years. But it feels just like yesterday that i said see you on Sunday Izzy which was a St. Patrick's day, But he never came back......our lives have never been the same ever. From forever bereaved mama. Sorry for rambling on, and spelling mistakes. English is my 4 th language....
This is the euthanasia I want. Instead of being something on a hospital room, full of staff members and people crying, I want my family watching me drive off a huge cliff, like Grand Canyon, happily screaming as the car goes near and near....I know it might be painless and quic, or slow and painful, but at least me and my family got my wish fullfilled. And no need to go after the corpse, just let it there and the wildlife take care of irt. it's both exciting and poetic.

go to Thompson, Utah just off I-70, to the diner near the tracks...this is where the film was done, scene the gas,station where Louise goes in to make the call to keitel...it was,all filmed in the cafe

Thelma & Louise is awesome entertainment. I bet it narrowly missed getting a Best Picture nomination. It did receive a total of six: Actress (Davis), Actress (Sarandon), Directing, Original Screenplay, Cinematography, and Film Editing.
I think this is a fantastic song to be played at the end of life...I really do...the end means the end...and none of us can imagine what that is...can we????

Im not proud to say that the first time i heard this song was not from the movie but at a hans zimmer concert. But I rmb i was absolutely memorized by the melody and the guitar sound. I went to check out the film after hearing this and its now one of my favourite films
