I will never, EVER tire of hearing any version of this song.
Lucy Lincoln ....... or any of the songs in the show. Iâm reading the original Victor Hugo book. You have to wonder how anyone thought âHey! This is so dark and depressing. Letâs make it a musical!â and then did it (rather successfully). Big revelation so far is Epinone is actually the innkeepers daughter. I certainly never figured that out.
Elizabeth Verrill please tell me youâre joking...
Harrison Waterhouse That I didn't get the relationship? Ya, I guess I should have but I'm not sure where in the play I missed it. They actually had five kids....except for Gavroche, none of the other offspring made the cut. It never was clear he was their son in the play. I'm in my mid 70âs. I get a pass occasionally when something goes over my head.
@@MrsEJV I think it is only explicitly mentioned once when thenardier and his gang are going to rob valjean and eponine arrives. One of the gang members say 'it's your brat eponine, don't you know your own kid' haha
I do share the same feeling as you exactly... I really love when The dream I dreamed part, it really got inside my heart...
That enjolras looks like a 18th century french nobleman meets santa claus and i love it lol
Nailed it! The noble French Santa I never knew I needed in my life!!
But his voice đ
Oh what a fab comment. Laughed so hard at that. But true!!
Accurately depicts what the character would have looked in old agr
Thatâs DougMacNaughton here on YT
Ok but that Enjolras is A++++
TakeOneVlogs agreed
He really is!
does anybody know who he is? I would have to find more with him in it.
found it below... Doug MacNaughton
Thanks, I scrolled down just to ask WHO THE BLOODY HELL IS THAT ENJORAS?? WOW!!! Love him!!!
Ok for some reason the Thenardiers always sound the same in every les mis cast
It's because of all the Cockneys in 19th century Paris
Actually, when Matt Lucas played it in the 25th Anniversary, it was his first time plus he never sang. He is friends with Alfie Boe and he gave him lessons. In fact, he lived with Matt at one point because his apartment flooded. Itâs really more of an important role than I thought at first. At least they are alive at the end!
Type in âLes Mis 25th anniversary, Alfie Boe teaches Matt Lucas to singâ. Matt really was a rookie. Clips of Alfie singing in Mattâs kitchen âwarblingâ they call it - should come up. Have to wonder what the neighborhood thought....â0h Lord, HE is here again!â
It's because there is only one Thenardi-way...
@@interestedbystander196 LOL! :-)
Is this the best song written to close an Act? Is it, arguably, the best musical song ever written?
Richard Nottage i totally second that!
You mean thereâs another one? đ
Yes. There is no question to it. Brings all the cast together and finishes with the absolute perfect crescendo to set up the second act. It is the best. There is none that even come close to it.
I think it is. Iâve seen Les Mis about 6 times and could watch it 6 times more! I think itâs astonishing.
@@sheilas1283 I agree. It never fails to move me, after so many versions and variations. I would offer "Defying Gravity" but at the end of the day "One Day More" always brings down the house
They haven't lost their touch at all!! True talents. I love this very much!!
It's interesting that Les Mis is being featured so much, besides being one of the best musicals ever, it seems very apropos at this time in history. It gives you reason to add that extra bit of emotion, that extra push into the song. But as usual, the people who need to hear it most, will not in any way realize how it's words and meaning applies to them. So, may the people keep on singing, till they hear those freedom bells a ringing, once again.
I was just thinking that as well. Les Mis just really seems to hit home more than usual. It speaks to the times...
@@celestejohnston6613 Yes, I have a vision of people from all over the world singing this song, with each language being highlighted at different times. A group from Hong Kong also sang it in their language. You can find that one on You Tube as well.
An underrated observation much will loose in translation.
The guy singing Enjolrasâ part has an awesome voice.
The Enjolras is just absolutely amazing đđŒalso his hair is just absolutely perfect for Enjolras đđ«đ·â€ïž
Santa Clause has some pipes!!
Santa clause ?? or claus LOL
đđ
He does
Thank you!

CRYING when i recognized my Jean Valjean and my Javert from 2000... By their VOICE đđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđ
Amazing how they can coordinate and make this all work considering they are miles apart! Amazing performance! Keep these going!
Their editors are professionals, so I'm sure they already had the professional equipment they needed. The editors should be given more credit. They made this presentation flow perfectly. I just wanted to add for the nonprofessionals, there is a software package now that they can use. Our Church choir is using it. Each member sings the songs individually in their homes to the music and emails their videos to the editor. The editor uses the software package to put all their voices and videos together. This task may be more of a challenge, because the singers are not professionals and their video skills are well, not professional. Therefore, it's not as polished as this video, performed and edited by amazing professionals, but it is a way to see your Church choir make a joyful noise. Actually, I must say, the Church choir, they weren't bad at their Easter performance.
Anne Teller what software?
The editors went hard in the paints. The performances didnât sync it up
Love how you can actually see their characters take over when they sing.
2:40 omg his little fist pump! So cute
heee, love it!! thanks for pointing it out!
Glad you liked that - I used to do that in the show, and I couldn't help myself! :)
Once quarantine is over, I canât wait to do this song with my entire cast
Your under house arrest get use to it.Your freedoms have gone.
I was in high school when I spent more money than I had to buy a front row balcony seat to Les Miz and I'm so glad I did! Great memories from this musical--all five times I've seen it!
As a New Yorker living on Broadway by Lincoln Center, this is very near and dear to my heart. I truly had tears streaming down my face whilst watching. God, I miss this extraordinary art, and these extraordinary artists. My gracious thanks to all of them, and to you for sharing. Genuinely a ray of light, and hope, in these difficult times.
I saw this on Broadway about 20 years ago and at the time, didn't even know what Les Miserables was! By the time the play ended, I was starstruck! The best musical to ever come out of Broadway!
It came out of (a) Paris and (b) London.
Truly magnificent god knows how many times Ive clicked on this video now. The anthem of 2020/21. Excellent job everyone!!
It's 5:00 am my emotions are a mess, I'm torn between crying because this reminds me of how much I miss singing in my choir and experiencing live music, or laughing about Enjolras, he was amazing!
Moved me to tears!!
Amazing artists!
Doug's voice (Enjolras) is SUNNING!!
THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!
This is one song I never tire of. Especially the final, verse, "Tomorrow we'll discover what our God in heaven has in store." God is always the one who decides the final outcome.
What a lovely song. How wonderful their voices are.
Going on 2 months working from home without interacting with my wonderful coworkers. Listening to these phenomenal artists just pulls me out of my âaloneness doldrumsâ and I just know I can survive âOne More Day...â. Thank you to all the cast members all over the world.
This is so beautiful, I hope to one day see this live.
I wish it so much for you. One of the best. I go see it everytime it comes to town or if it happens to be in the one I visit.
I hope you do! Itâs fantastic.
I've seen it numerous times and its just as good EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Anna Winn You must! Call me - I'll go with you. I'm not sure what my limit is on seeing it but I'm no where near it yet! đ
Saw the first cast in London, 1985. Brilliant.
Anyone else watching this on 1.19.2021?
I'm watching it on 1.21.2021
Absolutely lovely wonderful beautiful â€ïžđ
That was brilliant. They were all amazing but I could listen to the man who played Jean Valjean all day. He has a voice like velvet.
That's Craig Shulman! I saw him as ValJean a million years ago when Les Mis premiered on Broadway!
He was the USA Vajean in the 10th Anniversary Concert
That guy is a legend. The only guy to play Jekyll/Hyde, Jean Valjean, and The Phantom in major productions.
Without a doubt one of the best musicals I have ever seen. Remember going to see it with friends, their birthday present to me
Any Day is better with a little Les Miz. Love It - Much Needed in these CRAZY Days. Thanks â€ïžđšđŠ
This is the best thing I've seen today, or even this year! A true musical for the ages!
There is almost something supernatural and magical about music and singing. That something so beautiful can come from us is just beyond belief
Thank you much needed.
Les Mis has always been a beautiful performance in all walks of life.
Enjolras clearly has opera training.
A beauty gift to all of us. Thanks!! â„ïž
BRAVO!!! Would it be possible to add "subtitles" with the actor's names and the general time and location of their involvement with Les Mis?
The names are listed at the end
Btw - if you ever saw the Dream Concert (the 10th anniversary concert), Craig Shulman (who performs as Valjean here) represented the US for the international encore with the 17 Valjeans. He played Valjean in over 2000 performances both on Broadway and other international versions
Thanks for posting this , one of my favourite musicals , sad as was going to see the tour twice this year in the Uk and was going to London too. Hopefully London in 2021 and UK Tour 2022 now
Beautiful! Thank you so much for this!!
I loved it. Thank you for this. It's amazing to see "REAL PEOPLE" - and yet see the scene manifested in the singing. You all moved me immensely.
That was really, really good. Thank you for sharing
This is truly sung by a choir of angels, thank you so much for sharing it. Love and blessings to all of your wonderful singers.
This is amazing! Very good singing! I have listened to this at least 25 times! Projecting your voices is wonderful! I always sing this song, but I can't sing more than one voice at a time... still, outstanding!!!!!!
Just awesome. Got goose bumps. Thank you all.
This is better than any recording of the song you can buy. Bravo!!! Thank you so much for putting this out into the world!
WOW đł that blew my socks off!!! Powerful and beautiful â€ïž x x
They are legends of this musical. So powefull, encourrging.
THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!
Thanks so much! Beautiful.

That was incredible!
I do not believe that a better play was ever written and these performers have such incredible, God given talent.
Les Miserables is such an incredible tale, so very reflective of the real life Grace of God and how He has, by His Grace and love, sacrificed Himself for our salvation!
I believe Iâve seen Les Mis 6 or 7 times on Broadway and Iâve often wondered how anyone performing in the play and hearing this message 6 or 8 times per week, could ever escape the pull of Godâs love and grace.
Wonderful! What a gift. Thanks
What an inspiring performance from young thespians. The voices are incredible. the intentions, spot on. Great job. So sorry this could not be seen in it's entirety. Good luck to your futures. Marci Bing, Theatre Three, Port Jefferson, NY
This musical is my all time favourite - thank you for sharing this beautiful music during covid.
thank you to everyone who contributed- so appreciated
I hope that in eternity, God blesses all of us with voices like that.
Thank you all so much. Pure beauty
Oh I saw Les Miserables in 1994 and fell in love with this amazing musical and story. This is honestly one of the most amazing videos Iâve ever seen.
ENDLESS CHILLS. Thank you for this!
I was supposed to see les mis but it got cancelled, but for one of my classes i had to do a favorite quote so i did Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise
Lily Price we has Hamilton tickets it was cancelled a few days before we were to se it đąđđą

Very nice. Love this song.
THAT ENJOLRAS
How do you pronounce that?
Gacha Random itâs like on-zol-rahs
Bravi! Outstanding.
And brava to the orchestrator.
The amount of talent I just witnessed was insane
love it. ty for posting it!!!
THAT ENJOLRAS THOOO
Ironically Doug MacNaughton, who is from Canada, played Javert in Les Miz - he might even be better known as an opera singer than musical theater
Incredible. Every voice here. Incredible.
Wotta voice on the guy with the long grey hair! And wotta mustache!!!
I am so in love with this!
Well Done Video. Love this number and I think this is a fine version.
Fabulous...thank you!
Past and present cast members of the various productions of Les Miserables.
Gives me chills and a tear@! Love it!!
No comment will be enough only standing up and aplauseđđđđ
Goose bumps! Bravos and Bravas!
Enjolras though!!!!đđđđđ
This is both amazing and incredibly haunting in equal parts
Holy shit when that Billy Connolly-looking Enjolras showed up, I was not expecting that voice!

Bloody brilliant!
Thank you all sooooo much! Life will return!
Les Miserable is one of my all time favorite Broadway musicals!
Amazing!!! Cheers from Brazil =)
Daaaaaaaaang that's the best Eponine I've ever heard!
This is so beautiful đđ»đđ»đđ»đđ»đđ»
Goosebumps on goosebumps!!!!! Just soooo amazing!!!!
My goodness! The woman who does Ăponine has a beautiful voice!
Isn't it Frances Ruffelle?!
Disagree 100% her voice was so thin and pale compared to Marius and Cosette. "But he never saw me there" should be a strong belt and she barely sang it. She might as well have not been there. Paging Samantha Barks or any of the significantly superior Eponines. I've seen it over ten times and I've never been so disappointed in the casting Eponine
Thank you! Came to say the same. From the final credits, she is Eve Montpetit from the Canadian bilingual tour. Loved her tone and the fact that although she's Eponine, you don't automatically want to hit her with a cheese grater. She's not going for the yelling olympics and I am grateful.
