    You are saving my sanity! I haven't done Geometry since 1985! This crazy school year has me helping my 9th grader. THANK YOU! If you get tired of teaching math, you could teach handwriting; there's an entire generation who missed out on that skill thanks to the crazy push for more standardized testing. :)

    i don’t understand for the fractions can i choose any numbers from the triangles like for example when u were trying to find “b” u chose 14/b and b/6… is that a rule or i can just choose any number

    • @FerranteMath
      @FerranteMath  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Good question. You cannot choose any number. You need to find numbers that are in the same place on each triangle for the fraction.

    So for ABC ~ BCD, does that make 14 and 8 the projections of side a?

    • @FerranteMath
      @FerranteMath  Před 5 lety +1

      Yes. Be careful in naming your triangles.Follow the same direction for both, for example triangle ABC is congruent to triangle BDC (follow the direction you are tracing in the triangles).

    Hi your video helped me alott. Thank you so much the way you teach is incredible i never felt so intrested in learning till today. I had a question. When you were writing a similarity statement, why was it
    ABC similar to BDC And not DCB or CBD or CDB. Same goes for another
    Thats the only thing i need i am confused i know its been 9 years since you uploaded the video but i am hoping fora reply. ❤

    • @FerranteMath
      @FerranteMath  Před 5 měsíci

      Hi neon, yep, I'm still alive and answering questions when I can :)
      To answer your very good question ...
      it's not too complicated. Notice when I labeled the largest triangle, I started at the "top" of the short leg (A) and then moved toward the right angle (B) and finished at C. When naming the other two triangles, follow the same pattern. Start at the top of the short leg (B) and move directly to the right angle (D) and end at C. By following that pattern, all your angles are in a similar place or corresponding place in each triangles.
      I hope that explanation was helpful!

    • @neon0622
      @neon0622 Před 5 měsíci

      @@FerranteMath oh i get it so the pattern is to start at the top let and the move to right angle and then after the long leg?
