bro i am a student and i have also a iphone 14 plus but the thing is that it is brutally damaged and i dont have enough money to get it fixed from icare so i wanna know how can i check which part like motherboard or something is in working condition or not?
It's really surprising that the pro doesn't use the same access to remove the display. I wonder if 14 and 14 Plus displays will be cheaper in the long run. What's your guess? I've got a feeling 14 Pro display module will remain more expensive for much longer

what is missing to get the 2.0 ?
There is still some strong adhesive holding it down and the risk of damage it when trying to pry it off. I don't rate points in between 1.5 and 2 or else I would have given 1.8 etc but yeah it isn't too difficult but the older generation iPhone screens were easier to pry off and remove in my opinion.

What do you think the cable connecting the non-existent sim card reader does? Just nothing, and simply a place holder, do may they have put an extra attena for 5gmm wave?

yeah just a bypass cable going to connect to the taptic motor. The sim reader version would just have a sim reader also attached to the same cable.
Does anybody know who makes speakers for iPhone 14 plus for apple?
I wonder, with that sim reader, could you grab a sim reader from a non american model and plug it into the american model and have it work, ignoring the obvious problem of needing a new hole in the housing for the sim tray. It worked with the iphone 12 with switching from single sim to dual sim, maybe itll work here. Probably not though since apple being apple.
I would think it wouldn't due to all the software locks apple has, changing anything prevents it from working usually lol.

yes I have, I use a hair dryer to heat it up a bit
Don't you have to disconnect the battery before disconnecting the LCD ?
back in the day it was more important to do so but now phones are designed to not be as fragile and pose such a high chance of shorting etc. To be safe you can disconnect the battery first and usually if you have access to it why not, but this phone specifically is designed to be able to replace the screen without having to take apart the rest of the device. it's basically called hot swapping.

What do you set the heat gun to?
I usually use a hair dryer which is safer against damaging parts by over heating. You can heat it up so its hot to the touch with either method, and just apply more heat as needed when working your way around prying it off. You don't want to heat it up too much to damage it but enough so when you touch it, its too hot to keep your hand on.
Does it have thermal cooling?
Just has graphite film over the shields and underneath the shields it has thermal compound over the ram, processor and other chips.

You should minimize chanel logo in left bottom of video, its huge and distracting
I try to keep it as small as possible, but when I go any smaller, people easily replace or cut it out of the video and re upload the video as their own and put their own logo's etc.
