Having everyone be beautiful means there are little to no differences between people and "ugly" or "most attractive" won't be things you can say anymore. Maybe I've got it wrong, but I'm sure this quote is based off of Syndrome's, "And when everyone's super... no one will be"

To be honest when I look at characters, I just resonate with whatever character has messy hair and glasses. I don’t care if they’re unrealistically good looking. The point of video games is to escape reality, and if you are not good looking in real life, having a character that’s supposed to be you but good looking that you play as just makes the game more fun.

      ̶o̶r̶ ̶m̶a̶n̶
      fixed that for you.
I'm not like, obese, but I am a bit overweight as a man, and until recently, I've been fairly unattractive for most of my late teens and early 20s (it's surprisng what a little bit of decent beard, hair, and clothing styling will do for a person's look before even touching weight loss).
... Nobody cares, lol. Nobody cares about ugly or fat men, in fact, it's still normalized for them to be the butt of jokes in media. And if I gained another 50-100 lbs, I'd expect to die alone, and maybe experience some open ridicule (I'm working on it, lol. Weight happens to be something that isnt permanent, and short of anorexia, lower weight is generally healthier regardless of body positivity).
So it's a double hipocrisy. This "body positivity" crap also happens to be sexist, because it is 100% dominated by conversation about overweight and ugly *women*. You'd never see a Dove ad featuring fat or mishapen guys all playing the victim card super hard. And frankly, it's harder to get away with being fat as a guy in the dating pool than being a fat woman, something like 80% of women compete for the top 20% of men. Women tend to date upwards as it were, and dont see a double standard in that. Literally, if you asked these pricks what kind of guy they want to date, not one of them would (honestly) say they want to date someone on their own level physically. None of them want a guy as fugly or overweight as they are. Maybe they dont want a super model man, but they sure as hell dont want someone who looks as bad as they do.
Anytime I see someone trying to display some form of "positivity" anymore, more often than not, it's more accurately described as "toxic positivity". Dove is trying to be hyper inclusive to appeal to woke morons. But it doesnt really work, because what these idiots thinks is "inclusive" is actually surprisingly exclusive to anything that isnt a fat/ugly woman. When your definition of "inclusive" is a focus on one small special interest group... That's literally just narcissism. Its a rebranding of an exclusive behavior as "inclusivity" to appeal to a selfish POS personality.

The thing with statistics from surveys is that they can be tailored to get the result you want to push. Like the video said, they could have only asked 3 women and 2 of them said they felt underrepresented, suddenly that 2 out of 3 sounds bigger than it is. Also, companies will often, only, ask people who are more likely to give the result they're looking for. That's why survey companies will put you through a series of "screening" questions (gender, income, location, etc.) before asking the actual ones.

male representation has never been a problem in media though. Men are subjected to way less severe standards in terms of looks compared to women.
