- May the Force be with You! Ride the 1977 Classic STAR WARS Episode IV, a New Hope Movie Roller Coaster & Dark Ride! You are in the cockpit of the Red 5 X-Wing in this one-of-a-kind high-speed roller coaster movie ride!
It's a 7-minute experience from the Epic Battle of Yavin / Trench run movie scene! So get in your x-wing, fly against Darth Vader and his tie fighters, and blow up the Death Star! Luke Skywalker and R2D2 in Red 5 are standing by!!

Could you imagine if a ride like this was actually physically possible? You could make a whole theme park with this one coaster as its centerpiece!
Exactly like this is pretty unrealistic but an inverted roller coaster dark ride with a Star Wars theme and a mix of screens and animatronics could do something similar that would be jaw dropping
The most practical way to do this is an overlay for Soarin’.
Well, lasers could be replaced with both laser pointers, strobes and firecrackers could imitate explosions.
Epic! Really well done, and so immersive. The sets looked 10/10. With all the sounds from the movie, this is easily one of your top 5 coasters.

Outstanding! Bravo, sir. If you had told my 13-year-old ears in 1977 that I'd be watching this in 2021, I'd have said you were insane. One of the things I notice in your work is your amazing creative problem-solving. You're an artist with this stuff. Amazing use of resources. They just keep getting better and better.

That was SO SPOT ON!! All the bells and whistles added went so beyond my expectations of the Star Wars: A New Hope movie. I can be such a stickler over this particular series of movies. You delivered the goods to stay true to what was seen in the movie. You definitely get top ranks for this. Thanks for not going into MORE THAN WHAT IT SHOULD BE.
What a ride right? This was the hardest ride I ever made, with huge sets, sound, laser effects, etc. So happy you liked it. It was tough getting it just right. I didn't want every bit in the ride, it would have been too long so I had to shorten it down to a length that was just about right. Thanks as always Leroy! Have a great weekend.
Understandable but if it was under or around 15 to 17 minute's, it would still be worth the ride. A thought just came in... A Star Wars dark ride! That would be interesting.

Well, that was spectacular. There have been a few great trench run coasters built in the last few years on PC but I think this one is the best. Definitely the best Yavin bunker I've seen. Wonderful creation! I thought I was done playing PC until PC 2 came out, but dang it...I'm inspired! I think this weekend I'm gonna have to give it another go, with some Star Wars O.T. playing in the back ground of course :)

I loved the storytelling through all of the different scenes. You didn't just make a Star Wars-themed roller coaster, you were able to capture the entire storyline of that battle. The audio was extremely well-timed and helpful in conveying what was going on. Love it!

Sweet! Working on the ride I had to play the movie 3 dozen times...haha I know every word for the whole scene now and yet never realized how many pilots died in those 10 minutes!

Absolutely fantastic! 👏😃 Slightly unusual how there're two death stars right at the end, (the one that Luke fired the shot in to, then the one that blew up in the distance). I suppose that was the only way to show the big explosion really, since there's no back view on a roller coaster & you'd naturally fly the hell away from the death star when it's about to blow up. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this!
The Star Wars Trench Run reminds me that in the distant Past a long long Time ago Cinema Movies were actually good and entertaining to watch and not insulting your Brain while you endure them.

Masterful! Put a smile on my face the whole ride through. I’m old enough to say I watched Star Wars when it was first released! I remember standing up and yelling when Han blasted Vader’s ship in the canyon. Good times!!

Tommy this ride steals my mind for a while, first I thought it was a video game but when the whole screen open I find myself being drawn into galaxy. The creation, effects, and the scenery are real, I am going to ride it again. Thank you Tommy.

This is basically Star Wars Rebel Assault with a rollercoaster!
Can't believe I'm only just now finding this, but this is great work! Very impressed! I'd love to see a rendering of the full track layout that would show just how big the entire ride would be in the real world. I mean damn, imagine if Disney could've done this, only with a real coaster and physical sets with effects similar to Space Mountain to simulate the takeoff and space travel portion. Would've been a fitting replacement for Star Tours.
Lol Disney or anybody would not be able to for this this will take up a whole city!.... Well actually, maybe somebody in Dubai would might build it :P

The concept of a fully physical ride as this has a number of disadvantages:
- A mighty big interior space is required, and maintenance is a significant concern.
- The rails detract from immersion.
- The static spacecraft are silly.
Purely visual systems with motion platforms are superior on so many fronts.

Disney should come to you for ideas on their next star wars ride. I kind of want you to design a ride that has this sort of detail but in a compact space.

That was very cool you know it would be fun if you did one for space 1999 if you remember that it's an old show from the 70s where the Moon breaks free from Earth's orbit and goes flying into outer space Martin Landau and Barbara Bain where stars in that TV show.

The reason I choose space 1999 not just because it was a really cool '70s show, but both seasons had a great theme song. That music was like gogo music and techno put together especially 2nd season they amped it up you're going to like that music and I think you're going to want to put something together. Good to watch a couple of old clips from the show. I used to watch that after school.
