    I learned leather craft as a kid from my dad, but he passed away in 86. I never learned how he made the patterns for all the firearms.
    I stumbled onto this channel looking for patterns. Thank you so much for putting up these amazing videos!
    I have one of those hard to find holster, or patterns. The Taurus pt940, and now I'm gonna be really really happy!!

    Effing FANTASTIC video!! This is, BY FAR, the BEST pattern video I've watched (and i thought i had seen them all)!!
    Thank you!!
    I wish i had someone around me that i could "apprentice" under, but there is nothing. This video was like part of an apprenticeship, giving me the fine details that set a person's work apart.
    Awesome!!

      Thank you very much for watching. We also noticed its very hard to get into the industry and learn with people trying to guard their processes. Glad we were able to help you out.

    Great explanation of how to develop a stitch line. Any major differences for revolvers?

    • @EDCLeather
      @EDCLeather  Před 2 lety

      Kind of. Revolvers you can use the same for the frame, however the cylinder makes it more difficult.

    Could you use the same inside stitch line on a advenger style or taco style holster? Thank you very much for sharing this information.gl

    • @EDCLeather
      @EDCLeather  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes you can with a slight modification. We actually have another video on our channel titled "How to use EDC Leather StitchTrace Templates for Designing Taco Style Holsters" that goes over what you need to do. Also depending on your preference of how snug you want the stitchline you may need to add a little extra room on the slide side but I'd try the method in that video first then decide what you need to change.

    Just wondering if you could put the gun in a copier to get a good outline.

    • @EDCLeather
      @EDCLeather  Před rokem

      We have tried using a copier for the outline of the gun, but the problem with them is that the scanners are focused for having the best resolution on the glass, so any details that are above where the glass is such as sights, trigger guards, etc. Are hard to see because they are not in focus.
