Hall still would have had well over 2 minutes of riding time even if he would have rode him out of the period. So that's 2-2 at the end of the 2nd, with time. He would need to ride him out the entire 3rd to get to overtime, or let him up and score a take down. Letting him up didn't do any harm.

Myles should've rode him in the second period instead of letting him up. He could've got riding time which would've tied the match, at the very least.
