The Pondovac 4 has more power (+20%). We've got one in our shop but I haven't had it out of the box to see the other differences. The Pondovac 3 that we hire out works fine.
I will try and get one (along with any new products) from OASE and upload it, no worries.
The Pondovac is not waterproof but it is splash resistant all the same we would recommend plugging it into a garden plug socket.
Please, advise what is the problem with pondovac 3 when it begings "jump"?

Anyone know the differences between the Pondova3 and the Pondovac4??? Oase's website doesn't even list the Pondovac4 on the site!! Very strange.
1600 vs 1800 Watts for one. The 1800 is too high I think (right at the limit!) for a 120V 15A outlet, so I had to get the 3.

Just bought one and am concerned. Is the motor speed supposed to cycle up and down during use?
(my other channel) IT's been ages since I used one of these but as far as I can remember the motor was able to rev up while drawing water up the hose then it would slow down while water was draining out the back.

@@ThousandYardStare Thanks, and it is actually for my pool! Every year I have had a horrible time removing the sludge that accumulated during the winter using a vacuum hose connected to the pool filter. This will be such a much better way of doing this.
@@robpalmer1387 Nice one - I'd love to live somewhere warm enough to justify having a pool to chill out in.
Up here I've got to be satisfied with having a Sauna as generally it's cold.
Once a week I take a sauna for an hour or so at roughly 100 degrees C and it does me the power of good.
