I had a 1983 Honda CB650 Nighthawk & rode it on mountain roads at my limit. Foot pegs were beveled off on the ends. Good handling bike. Then I got a ticket for 90 in a 50. Flat out mine went 112. I wanted the new CBR900 RR but that bike might have killed me. I still ride but I'm old & slow today.
In a few months after I save up for my build I’m starting with engine rebuild and get the chassis powdercoated with a semi-metallic silver. It’s in rough shape from previous owner having chained to a tree in New Orleans. Been like that since the hurricane so I know I’m in for a treat lol. Water rusted up the inside haha. But man, this is such a nice bike. Hopefully soon there will be another coming up. (Mine-91 Honda nighthawk)
Very nice, 👍, how these bikes should sound and look, takes me back to my biking days, these shaftie bikes always look good when modified like this, good lines, cool bike.
I had a CB 650 that I bought from some guy in the Navy for 300 bucks in 1986. The thing ran like a champ. I road it to a shop to buy a Harley Sportster (used). I said to the guy in the shop "here just keep this bike instead of charging me the tax." All in all it was a good little bike though.
I had one of these back in the day. Fast as stink. Nice job on the Cafe conversion - love the inverted front end. Sound like you might need larger pilot jets to improve the off idle response. Sounds good though.
Damn these older Hondas make sick cafe runners. You can buy the 250 or 450 cheap throw a couple ggg's at it and BAM dream machine. Bike is sick bruh good job.
I totally like Cafe Racers, Unfortunately I have a "Bobber" currently which I just made available for sale less than 12 hours ago. Ive had that bike for many many years, it only has 6k Miles. My GSX-R 600 I put 11K miles on in 1 season
As the former owner of a 650 Nighthawk S, I wholeheartedly approve. I dawgged the snot outta mine like it was a street fighter, I woulda killed myself on a literbike
@remytv In the 70's and 80's, the most beautiful and noble ones were produced! Nothing covered with plastic, every detail aesthetically admirable, the motorcycle was from start to finish, and although today they may be more revolutionized engines and with excellent technology such as electronic injection, abs and others, I am left with those of those two decades that they fell in love capturing the gaze as soon as they appeared before us!
See, there are things you can do with these rice rockets instead of tossin' 'em in the boneyard. Really improves the appearance and loses weight in the process. Good job, 'Boot! You'd love what I did to my anemic 1979 Yamaha SR500. Tossed a Hi-Per-Kinetics Stage Two 650 engine in it along with a bunch of custom parts from KEDO in Germany. Got me two trophies in 2 shows in one month. Scarier than a mo-fo to ride. Wish I was 45 years younger for this engine.
Why does it look so small I owned a Honda cb650 1981 which seems much bigger than yours . Nice bike though great sound and beautiful looking. I love Honda I now own a Honda cgl 125 cafe racer had the engine rebuilt runs and looks amazing
Are you running straight pipes? And if so what is the power and gas mileage difference? I have this exact bike and have holes in my mufflers and thinking about cutting it straight off right in front of the mufflers
I wonder why these people from white american neighbourhood get so mad when they hear a motorcycle... Here in Brazil, it's a simphony to us, we don't get mad, and there are 4c motorcycles revving all day long... We do not play around with motorcycles here.
What size if tires in front and back you used on this one? I am building a racer using this bike. I just had too much trouble finding the right tires. I am more concern with the rear tire. I like how yours look like. Thanks.
The Honda Nighthawk left a mark forever in my heart. Very responsive, bullet proof and nice sound engine. I'll never forget it.
i would've laughed if he just backed up the whole video
Yes ... don’t be backward about going forward 😬
He pretty much did

I've had a couple of those 650's and they're great. Very under-rated little engine.
Nice build, sounds great!
Can't wait to get my CB750 up and running. Nice bike. 😎🏁
That blue tank cap is a complete style breaker
ikr it just doesn’t match the bike whatsoever

Para un hermano latino ver ese lugar es más hermoso que ver la moto, unas ganas de estar en ese lugar
Not a huge fan of cafe racer style, but with the exception of the wheels and tires not matching, this thing is beautiful.
I don't like 4 cilinder's bike.....but this is fantastic 😍 good job bro👏👏👏👏👏

Nice bike man. When you moved the engine stumbles, reminds me off mine, they take forever to warm up.
Same with my kz750, I still love these bikes from this era tho.

All it needs is a good paintjob!!Oh and maybe an exhaust.
Quick question, is that the stock frame? Just changed the front forks and rear shocks?
Genghis Khan doesnt seem like it. Looks like a custom hoop with an LED strip built into it.
The back shocks looks stock
Genghis Khan Fork is from a GSXR, you can buy a conversion kit online.
