- Opal Murray said her new apartment is great. She calls it heaven.
“I love it. Nobody bothers you. It’s brand new. It’s just nice. It’s really nice.”
Murray, who works taking care of foster kids, lives in one of the 50 new units here at The Shores Apartments on 31st street south in St. Petersburg.
Great job, Mayor! Taking care of the working poor.
But you’ve got plenty of families who make more than 40 grand a year and are still struggling to find affordable housing or even rent.
That won't happen. And these new complexes will turn to drug habitats in a matter of months to a year after opening.
No problem if the likes of you are prevented from taking up occupation.
@@PJ-sv4iw believe it or not the homeless community don’t like the alcoholics and drug addicts either and try to keep them away from their encampments as well but it’s impossible to permanently keep them out. The best the homeless encampments can do is report them to the police and try, try to make sure they can’t come back but they can’t do anything about their neighbors. You’ve had homeless encampments that have effectively left the neighborhood alone or are on friendly terms with the locals only for some alcoholics, drug addicts, or mentally disabled to “move in” to the area and cause trouble for everyone (homed and the homeless alike) which results in the police being called and everyone in the encampment ultimately being forced to move on.
Great job mayor and city!
This is great to see. I love that mayor guy
I dig this!
Where there's a will, there's a way.
If the apartment is affordable to you the government is paying the bill put it on the national debt!
Total bs. These will be VRBO within 2 years. Maintenance paid for by the municipality. Taxpayers foot the bill.
10 years will be a slum
Just need to keep people like you out to prevent that from happening.
