Something i found out idk if its a theory or true but it makes so much sense. Dazai had the potential to get swept clean of all of his criminal records but he chose not too, so he could end up going to jail with Fyodor. And the crimes are only what the government knows, thats not all of it. i found that crazy ngl
he DID have all of his crimes at least somewhat erased or buried; ango hired some secret government organization, and they had mushitaro. but mushitaro's ability was cancelled, i think, at the end of the perfect crime arc when he was taken hostage

I’m pretty sure Fyodor said something like this “you purposely got arrested to keep an eye on me I’m jail” so i feel like your theory’s true
He probably purposely left traces in crime scenes to be led back to him while he was the demon prodigy. In that way, he could control the amount of crimes revealed to the authorities and use it to enter prisons like Meursault which is unreachable at normal circumstances. A person as crafty as Dazai won't leave behind too many traces of his crimes unless he finds it a hassle, plain out doesn't care or has plans to use it. I wouldn't personally put it past him to do something like that. I mean, they can't know the exact number of people Dazai killed. Many had no body left after Chuuya was done with them and many more were probably cases with no result that were docked away.
his kill count is when he was an official executive which is 138 but including soukoku, the kill count of his orders, and the kill count before and after he was in the pm would be way more then 100+ i think almost thousands

That wouldn't work as it was explained that the water was different from normal and way heavier than gravity itself, it was enhanced to make that impossible
