    The teeth of the person in the video with the implant are awful, for this reason, the implant had a problem, I have an implant for over 15 years and have zero issue with it. I take care of my teeth.

      Hello David! Hope you are having great time..
      I am about to recieve an implant next month. Could you please share how do you keep the gumline surrounding implant clean? Is regular flossing enough or should I get Dental Water jet?

    • @davidronson8712
      @davidronson8712 Před rokem

      @@radhikasingh779 The most important part, is to brush your teeth, the last thing you do at night, try avoiding French kissing at all costs, and of course clean your hands with soap each time you go to the bathroom for any reason and when cooking, even before and after eating. Flossing is not as important as the dentist says, because it can injure the gums, your gums have to be only pink, if they are dark red, this suggests you have a minor infection . I have an organ transplant, and when it was time to have an tooth implant, the specialists who drilled in the jaw bone, had the room sterilized , by a specialized team and everything was covered in white clean sheets because I am immunosuppressed and is a germ goes into the bone I can be in serious trouble. It took me 6 months to grow the bone to fill the hole that was left when the original tooth was taken out. Good luck.

      VALENTINE: Yeah, been having bad probs with my natural teeth (falling to bits & not much left to save). And when I saw my dentist yesterday, I asked him about implants - if they are problematic. And he confirmed this. This is very disappointing.

      @@FEARisCOLD: Yeah, when I went in there he saw that the problem with my tooth was that there wasn't hardly much left of it (the same as before with another tooth). So he just patched it up with a filling (for as long as it'll hold out) then he advised about an extraction. But when he said this (about having to lose my teeth) this only leaves me with two options - either dentures or implants. And because I don't want horrible dentures (which need to be taken out at night, etc) I was thinking more towards implants - which I previously heard had problems. So I asked my dentist if implants are "problematic" and he just said "yes they are". But this is all he said about it and did not extend the conversation. This is why I am searching out these videos about dental implants so as I can learn something more about it. But with all of this so called medical/dental science in the modern day, and it seems they cannot solve the problem of tooth-decay and tooth loss. It's just awful and leaves me feeling lost for what to do.

    What abour the titanium alloys or added metals to titanium? Do you recomend taking test for metal allergy? Are you able to get details of full metal composition in the imlants you
    Are using? I was happy strauman being a grade 4 but then it has 12% of zirconia wchih my dentist even did not know and he said he uses it 12y .. strauman doesn't respond to me and it does not state grade of the added
    zirconium i imagine its an alloy then. I am happy to learn it as i was sensitive to metals before so i need to check it.

    I just don't see how the body is OK with something being screwed into it. It will constantly try to reject it, even if that means sacrificing the bone. Continuous loosening could be from the bone degenerating. I think implants are set up for failure.

    • @drgurssehmi

      Depending on the implant, it can take from 4 weeks, to 3-4 months for the implant to integrate (I often call this healing, but that's not technically correct). It can take longer if things like bone grafts or sinus work is carried out at the same time. The gums take a few weeks or sometimes days to heal
