    Great job I did the same thing here on mine , I did 1 1/8 inch longer shackles and used the stock shock mounting holes and it rides great . .however I probably would suggest using his shock extender bracket due to how a shock works. .me using the stock hole with a 1 inch lift could make the shock stop in a upward motion from large movement but I live in hilly rough terrain and I haven't noticed anything odd with doing this! looks like I gained about 1 inch ride height , glad I did it and thanks to you! 🤠 went to Lowes and got steel plate 1/4 inch thick for shackles. .it was 16 bucks 👌

    I did the 1" lift block on my precedent. While I'm happy with the results I'm upset about the negative camber it added as well as the very tight front on bumps from losing an inch of spring travel. Forcing the front leaf down actually makes the spring expand which forces the bottom of the wheels out since the leaf connects at the bottom of the spindle. Then compressing the spring takes away an inch travel or the softest part of the travel which makes the front end very stiff when driving around. I wish somone would make a front 2" spindle lift. It would be a hot item! The shackles work perfectly!

  • @johnn8414
    @johnn8414 Před 4 lety +1

    Just curious, there isn't any real 'camber' adjustment on those DS carts. How did you adjust for that??. DS carts really only have the steering box drag link and upper tie rods, only allowing Toe in/out adjustment, which is unaffected by the lift... The center pin on the spring has a 'cam', It's an Oval bolt, that allows a small camber adjustment within the stock hole, BUT if affects both wheels, essentially on the same axis, so if you fix one side, the other is worse. I bet you fought with it before you noticed the same thing I eventually did, finally found a club car manual and realized I couldn't adjust for it.
