6 (English) Packaging design and product development with Honeycomb Cellpack

We have our own development department with Honeycomb Cellpack. This is where we work out solutions for our customers, that is design and develop optimal packaging solutions that fulfill our customers’ requirements.
We are in a dialogue with our customers about the prototypes, preferably based on the customer’s technical drawings and of course the actual product.
We have lots of experience with developing exactly the solution that our customer wants, regarding price, shock-absorption and fixing. This is where we vary between quality and compression strength by adjusting cell sizes, depths and paper quality. Often, our solutions replace the use of EPS, Expanded Polystyrene, foam and folding cartons.
We make the prototypes in paper honeycomb - and smaller series with our CNC machine. Here we test the possible solution or solutions together with the customer. Smaller series for tests can be produced with our CNC machine before approval with the customer.
When the optimal packaging solution has been found, and the customer has agreed, we start the production of the packaging. Some solutions can be made directly in our production line using knives which cut the blocks and bars to size and, if necessary, with cookie-cut.
Other, more demanding, solutions require more fixing, and for this purpose we develop and construct our own punching tools. These are unique to each individual customer and give exactly the punch, in shape as well as depth, which fits the customer’s product. We can punch all the way through the product or only to a certain depth or different depths.
