this was BEAUTIFUL from start to finish. those tabula rasa and maniacal princess are OUT OF THIS WORLD, along with the title screen and love of magical chimes cover. insanely glad the unused themes are covered too!!

mind blowing, I didn't expected to LOVE listening to touhou tracks with others tracks' instruments, or even fanworks!! that is a beautiful and creative idea. The little ending pieces as eye-catchers are the cherry on the already good tasty cake. Another CD to laser on and add to the collection

Holy COW, i DID NOT EXPECT THIS. 5 has my favorite soundtrack of the pc-98 era of touhou with 3 and 4 tied with each other (3 had more bangers, but 4 had more 'advanced' instrumentation)!
I'm really really glad that these old pc-98 soundtracks are getting remastered, because with modern-sounding instruments, they'll be on par with or even better than the Windows games' OST! I gotta find time to listen to this and give my opinion on it! :D

I have some critique, please don't take it negative or downvote me, it's just my opinion for the sake of wanting the team to improve. I think overall pretty decent, but I'm not really feeling the sound mixing in this one, specifically in all of Kale Hokaido's tracks. 40:09 The Decisive Battle here just sounds so empty and is mixed a little roughly and could have used some adjustments with effect levels too. The guitar sample is also pretty weak. It's not bad by any means, but just really out of place compared to the other musicians who mixed their songs a bit better. It's lacking some warmth and dimension to the song that makes it feel pretty flat, like they were just using a soundfont or something to that effect
adding onto that uhhhh 1:02:23 Chiyuri's theme also sounds extremely empty and flat here for the same reasons. Not much going on here and I was a little disappointed. There's just very little layers to Kale's songs, and I don't say that to be mean but it's just, there needs to be so much more warmth to them to round out the sound. Maybe play around with some effects and just naturally pay attention to the mixing. Also the lack of a proper drum solo was really disappointing!! :( ........
Strawberry crisis was fun and interesting. It's not what I wanted, but I can tell everyone had fun with it! Overall good job everyone, keep it up
