There is a motor inside it,
The reaction when start and stop shows that there is an electrical motor inside it and a worm gear shaft or screw shaft actuated by the motor to convert the motion to linear

What is the speed on this particular model used in this video? I know this is no longer available, but I need same type actuator with that exact speed. Thanks!

      Hello PF,
The discontinued model in this video travels at 3.00"/sec. However, we do have a similar PA-15 model with a 22 lbs dynamic force rating. This will have a speed of 3.15"/sec. You can view this product here: www.progressiveautomations.com/products/tubular-high-speed-linear-actuator

This piston depth and speed is controllable or not.? Means I wonder if it could provide 100compression/min...?

The overall maximum and minimum length dimensions are permanent, depending on the stroke length you choose.
However, the linear actuator can be stopped at anytime along the stroke movement by cutting off power thus controlling the depth.
The speed can be controlled by changing the voltage level applied to the actuator. You are able to get the maximum speed at 12.0VDC and anything below will reduce the speed.
The easiest way to accomplish both of these is through the PA-25 control box. By setting the remote control to "momentary", the actuator will stop movement as soon as you release the button on the remote and the knobs adjust the voltage applied.

What make is each component? And how much do you estimate for the lot?

    • @ProgressiveAutomations

Hi Shane! Individual parts of our actuators come from multiple manufacturers, which is then inspected for quality control in our warehouses in Richmond, British Columbia and Arlington, Washington before shipping them out to our customers. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to our team!

      Hello,
Unfortunately this control box model is discontinued and no longer produced by Progressive Automations. However, we do have alternative dual-channel control boxes, such as the PA-22, PA-30, and more. Check out our line of wired and wireless control boxes here: www.progressiveautomations.com/collections/control-boxes
      Thank you,
