    A love to watch someone who enjoys what they are doing talk while they do so. Because the emotions of the actions going on in the video good or bad are captured and bring a reality to what is happening in the video.
    The art and instruction on how you achieved what you were doing were spot on and informative so keep speaking in them your a great teacher.

    Hello Kristy. I was struggling with a project I wanted to complete and I wasn't sure how to go about it. I spent hours looking through tutorials of people using markers with time-lapse which really doesn't teach you anything. I then stumbled across your tutorial and you helped me solve my problem. Explaining as you went along was perfect. I can't thank you enough. I can appreciate that you don't speak English much however, you actually speak better than some people who have it as a first language. I understood what you were saying and your explanations were perfect. Thank you so much. x (From a frustrated newcomer to markers.)

That's exactly my purpose with my videos - I want to teach something and help frustrated people 🤣 I believe drawing is very easy and anybody can learn it!! I'm very thankful for your comment, you really made my day. I'm moving to a new apartment and once I have my artsy space there I will be doing more videos again. 😉

      Maybe they had some reasons to dislike it. I mean, I've liked it, but maybe some people felt lied to, because the title says '3 markers' and then she is using 4 markers and some coloured pencils... though probably half of them were jeslous.

    Soak the tip of your gel pen in acetone and a minute, then use on cardstock, and it will start going again. The roller balls get dried bits of paint in them. This works...give it a try!

    • @katto1937
      @katto1937 Před 7 lety +5

      Just simply fill in all the skin with the most appropriate lightest shade
      e.g
      A dark skinned person wouldn't have a a baby white, possible a dark suntan as the lightest colour for his skin (Im not being racist its just an example you 9 year olds (no offence to the smart ones))
      Then colour the edges and just mostly where shadows would be with a shade darker
      Then right at the outline of the face( not all of it just in maybe a little on the left and a tiny bit on the top where the hair is, just try it out then improve) In a darker purple, so not black because that just looks as if there was no lighting at all.
      And for the body is very similar
      Good Luck!

If yes, search for alcohol based markers there. They have a biiig choice! And I have quite a few different ones that honestly just make s sliiiight difference to the copic ones, which I can only tell if I really compare them and it's hard to tell the difference anyway. The blender has the tendency to pick up the darker colour it runs over and deposit it in an unwanted place, I run mine over a piece of scrap paper to get rid of excess color. xx

    • @sidneykoepp3655
      @sidneykoepp3655 Před 4 lety

      Ennrich Blaauw I thought the blender removes color or pushes it away, not mixing them. It acts more as an eraser.

    • @kristysketches
      @kristysketches  Před 2 lety

      True you can „erase“ but if the blender is very new, then it has so much liquid that it builds a darker color around the erased spot. I personally hate using it 🤭 but I think its actually better to use the blender first, all ver the image you want to color, and then start coloring! Its like preparing the paper for blending!!

    Sehr schönes Tutorial, hat mir gut gefallen! Ich fang ja grad erst an mit solchen Sachen - da war das richtig hilfreich. Danke! Davon ab: Wie wichtig ist Dir die BrushTip bei den Copics? Ist das für Dich echt essentiell oder ist das eher so nen "nice to have" ?

    • @kristysketches
      @kristysketches  Před 2 lety +1

      Omg sorry, dass ich dein Kommentar erst jetzt sehe!!! 🥹 also ich muss sagen der Brush Tip ist mir persönlich sehr wichtig, aber es muss auch nicht Copic sein - es gibt ja so viele günstigere Alternativen heutzutage. Ich benutze zb aktuell welche von Ohuhu, und die sind auch mega, vor allem hab ich die Kombination von brush tip und chisel! Find ich viel besser so 🤭

    • @evil_in_your_closet
      @evil_in_your_closet Před 2 lety +1

      @@kristysketches Haha, alles gut! Was sind denn schon vier Jahre unter Freunden =P Ich freu mich jedenfalls sehr über Deine liebe Antwort! Und ich stimme Dir auch zu: Es muss nicht immer Copic sein. Die Ohuhu's sind auch gar nicht so verkehrt. Ich hab hier auch nen Riesenset von Touchfive markern, die sind auch ganz gut. Aber ja, Pinselspitze ist schon was feines - keine Frage! Da hab ich mir irgendwann nen Greyscale set von... Touchtwin(?) geholt. Jedenfalls mag ich auch die Kombo von Chisel und Brush. Bulletnib ist auch manchmal nice - aber... nicht wirklich wichtig :)

    • @kristysketches
      @kristysketches  Před 2 lety +1

      @@evil_in_your_closet hahaha ja du sagst es! Ich muss mich korrigieren: CHISEL mag ich so gar nicht 😂😂😂 Ich meinte Bullet und Brush sind meine faves! Die neuen die ich von Ohuhu hab, haben beides 😌. Chisel ist was für Architekten. Von Touchtwin hab ich noch keine, aber ich hab mal einige no name brands über Aliexpress bestellt gehabt, die sind alle gleich gut. Man kann endlich auf Copics verzichten 🥲 was malst du denn so?

    • @evil_in_your_closet
      @evil_in_your_closet Před 2 lety +1

      @@kristysketches Oh, das ist interessant...! Ich find Chisel eigentlich ganz cool weil man damit halt schnell Flächen füllen kann - bei den Bullets fallen mir eher so lineart und highlights ein und so! Übrigens ist das auch immer so ne Sache mit den Namen - Die TouchFIVE die ich da habe sind halt auch so ne Billigmarke - ich denke, die werden weitestgehend identisch mit den Ohuhu's sein. Das Greyscale-Set von TouchTWIN ist wieder eher etwas höherpreisig. Aber ich geb Dir total recht: Klar, Copic ist irgendwo Goldstandard, je nachdem welche Variante man da hat,- aber darauf ANGEWIESEN ist man halt echt nicht mehr. Es wurde auch Zeit, dass da mal Konkurrenz kommt! Und in den letzten Jahren war ich leider aus verschiedenen Gründen sehr, sehr inaktiv bzw. wenn dann eher digital unterwegs. ist nicht viel zustande gekommen. Aber wenn Du mich einfach danach fragst, was ich mag - dann ist das echt breit gefächert! ich mag so vom stil her so Cyberpunk Sachen echt gern... auch Anime oder so Sachen wie die von J Scott Campbell find ich toll - oder eben Cartoons :)

    • @kristysketches
      @kristysketches  Před 2 lety +1

      @@evil_in_your_closet spannend mal mit jemanden zu schreiben, der auch gern malt 😅 ich bin ganz deiner Meinung! Ich hab die letzten Jahre auch nur digital gemalt, aber irgendwie hatte ich dann keine Motivation mehr. Aber mit richtigen Stiften malen, ganz traditionell, macht mir jetzt wieder mehr Spaß und ist vom Feeling her auch ganz anders.😁

      Cathy Coney I drew her. If you want to practice coloring her, I uploaded the outlines on my deviantart, so you can find the template there. It's for free. Just go to Deviantart and put my name freakykriss. You will find many templates there.

    I love semi-realism!
    When i was 7th grade I always draw anime; but i saw these TUMBLR OUTLINES and it reminded me of how i used to draw when i was little (but a more crapy shit) and i searched it on youtube and i finally found out that MY STYLE was actually semi-realism!!! And now I'm really good at it (not bragging about it ).

    I liked these color recomendations. Most of the places I looked up recomended E0X for skin and I bought them but they're too damn bright. And also too damn orange-ish. I already have E31 and E34 ... I'm gonna buy E21 and test it out.

      Hey there sweetie thank u for your comment! You know, I used to be scared too, but then I kept a copy of my sketches and dared to color! U need to make mistakes to actually improve! If you don't start at all, you will never succeed!! Don't be scared, keep a copy of your sketches and then you can always start over if you are not satisfied, which is a good practice too!

    • @kristysketches
      @kristysketches  Před 2 lety

      It is the hardest thing to do in my opinion, so you actually learn by observing and copying. Always have a picture or some kind of template to draw from, so you will understand lights and shadows better by time - I did so too!

    Aus welchem Set sind die Stifte? Sind die von dem Set "Hauttöne" oder wie das heißt oder "warme Grautöne"? Super Tutorial! Dein Englisch ist auch super! Man denkt wirklich, dass du Amerikanerin bist!

    • @reniluu9715
      @reniluu9715 Před 8 lety

      Kauf dir auf keinen Fall das Set warme Grautöne (wenns nicht schon zu spät ist) ich dachte nämlich auch das es Hautfarben wären da ich sie unter dem Stichpunkt ,,copic ciao hautfarben'' gefunden habe. Auf dem Bild sahen sie auch wirklich aus wie Hautfarben, doch sind sie gestern angekommen und ich musste síe gleich heute zurück schicken da es eben ,,grau'' und absolut keine Hautfarben sind. Ich habe jetzt also im Internet geschaut und ein Set das meine Wunschfarben hätte gibt es nicht, also muss ich die Stifte einzeln bestellen. Alle Hautfarben Set's gehen sehr ins pinke was nichts für mich ist ich brauch eher hellere Farben. Also recheriere am besten wie ich noch ein bisschen. Denn copics sind arschteuer und es macht wirklich keinen Spaß sie zurück zu schicken.

    • @kristysketches
      @kristysketches  Před 8 lety

      Hi! Also ich habe diese Farben einzeln gekauft.. Die gibt es so als Set nicht. Es ist glaube ich auch besser, wenn man sich die Farben selber aussucht, Geschmäcker sind ja unterschiedlich. Ich benutze seit Jahren diese Töne und find sie super. Nicht zu hell und auch nicht zu dunkel..

    Well thx for speaking English for us on this vid.I Loved it! All the way here in the US States Hello Friend! Question, not being nosey or anything, are their many English speaking people there. , and what did you learn English for, a job, Just curious..I am wanting my daughter to learn another language . German and or Japanese would be opportunities for he to do business with companies from there you know.,.Many Many thx!

    • @livski1312
      @livski1312 Před 7 lety +1

      since you didn't get a answer from her and I'm a English-speaking German too:
      all of us learn English in school and because it's quite easy to understand, many people don't have any problems learning it, especially the younger generation because you're being confronted with English websites or videos often. 😊
      I suggest you not to let your daughter learn German, because literally everyone here is able to speak English (at least the basics), in particular business men and almost every person who's learning German says it's really hard to understand. So all in all I don't think it would be worth the time, maybe Japanese would be a better choice. 😄

    • @kristysketches
      @kristysketches  Před 6 lety

      Omg im sorry for not answering you before I totally forgot! I had English lessons when I started 5th grade but I was so bad at it and Germans have no talent when it comes to languages. Basically they are very proud of their own language and so u get little practice here when using English. I actually really learned it when I went to Lebanon. I didn't know Arabic well and so I had to speak English and people there are so smart and friendly enough to help foreigners. My English skills came from my experience living abroad. If you want to teach your child a language I'd say that German is a really tough one. If you ask me I'd definitely go for Japanese because Japan is my weakpoint! I wish I learned Japanese when I was a kid!!! Let your kid decide by listening to different languages and pick the one he/she thinks is best - that's the only advice I can give. Thanks for leaving a message and sorry again for my very late reply.
