If you ask me Steel Magnolias was like an 80's version of Dying Young. Also R.I.P Richard Pryor. Harlem Nights was a pretty bad Eddie Murphy film. Along with 48 Hours, Beverly Hills Cops even Coming to America.
Steel Magnolias was originally a play.
There were shootings at the screenings of this film, although it wasn't brought up like with New Jack City and Boyz N The Hood.
R.I.P. Samuel E. Little (voice of the crab 🦀 in The Little Mermaid).

Boy were they wrong about Harlem Nights. It's one of Eddie Murphy's best films. He made it as a revenge fantasy for African Americans and an ode to the 1930's gangster movies.
It wasn't a fresh plot.

I like Harlem Nights as a guilty pleasure, don't care what anybody says and I don't give a shit about The Little Mermaid.
