Hi Billy. Great video. Two questions please, do you have to wear a thin base layer under the trousers as you do with the jacket? What are your thoughts on sizing . Are they true to size or do you need to go up a size, especially if the answer to the first question is yes. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
Hi Peter. Thanks for watching and your questions. It is advisable to wear a thin base layer under the trousers as with the jacket. With regard to sizing, I am 6'2' with broad shoulders and XL in most tops. I have a L size Keis jacket to accommodate the sung fit which is what you want for the Keis jacket esp. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have other questions 👍 cheers. Billy
Hi I’ve got all the keis heated long sleeve jacket the gloves the trousers you did not mention the keis heated inner soles that what I use now has for the new socks I’m giving a while before I buy the reason why how long will they last before they wear out I they give you a good warranty this is my second season using keis heated garments so far I find them the best on the market also you never seemed to mention about base layers cause I know for a fact I learnt the hard way burned my back not wearing base layers of the jacket no negativity meant I like watch your channel and have done for while now anyway good video stay safe 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Degs for watching and your comments 👍🏼👌🏽 didn’t mention the soles of much else as quite a lot to mention. I pretty much stuck with what the Keis Inspiring a riders have been given. Perhaps there is a video to be done of all their catalogue. Base layer is a very good point! Most would wear a top under the jacket but the trousers yes I should have mentioned that, good catch. Thanks for the ongoing support. Much appreciated. Stay safe. Billy 👍🏼👌🏽
Hey mate. Unfortunately you need a controller for both items. They can be powered from one source from battery to jacket, from jacket to trouser but a controller for each. Thanks for watching. Cheers. Billy
Hi Gary. Thanks for watching and your comments. The trousers I went with my regulator side but the jacket one down as that needs to be a sung fit to feel comfortable under your motorcycle jacket. Stay safe. Billy 👍🏼
Hi Billy - I see your still hard at it over the winter and keeping up the hard work - bike now winterised and I’m in off mode - re the heated stuff - think I’d get a car - lol 😂 just kidding great for all those winter commuters - Anyway I hope you get the Iceland gig!! - all the best stay safe MR “🥃” ps hope to see you when the sun returns....
Hey Mr Whisky. Yes mate got to keep at it. I really need to get out on the bike a bit more. That’s you done for the winter then. TBH I don’t blame you. Fingers crossed for the Iceland trip. That would be epic. I am definitely coming back to Scotland. A little bit further north. May even camp, we’ll see. So will of course elder you next year mate. Hope all is good with you and the KTM running well. Enjoy Christmas mate hope you have a really nice time. Billy 👍🏼👍🏼
I have a pair of jacket and trousers of Warm/safe ellecy gear.. I have never worn the trousers in 3 years,,even in the coldest conditions I doubt you really need pants and socks combi, certainly on my BMW my legs never get that cold,, another thing having more connections in your system is just alot more faff before setting off and that is the main criticism of electric system ..All the connections and fuses ,it too much faffin about...no way.. Stay with just the jacket and gloves,,thats enough unless you live in the artic...
Hi lipsee100. Thanks for watching and you comments! It's a matter of preference right. Yes I agree it is more of a 'faff' (its minimal by the way) to deal with the cables, but for those that are happy too, warm winter riding awaits. Stay safe. Billy
Heated trousers are a must on a naked bike below 9c for hour or longer riding, last year touring wore socks and trousers over spanish pyrenees -20c at highest elevation, never needed higher than medium with waterproofs on for added insulation a faired k1600gt, snow in mid France-3c. I ride year round on multiple bikes 13k miles total in 2022.
Cheers Billy.
Hope it was useful. Cheers. Billy

@@BillysBikeAdventures thank you for your reply 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Billy can you use one controller for jacket and trousers. Or do you need a controller for each. Cheers

If you put controller inbetween battery lead and jacket you can control all of it off the one controller
So they won’t fit under motorcycle jeans then ?
Depends how tight your jeans are but unless they are a loose fit it is very unlikely. Cheers. Billy.
Hi Billy you didn’t say about the fitting of the jacket and trousers some people say go a size lower did you go smaller thanks in advance Gary
