    Was out and about on my Triumph Speed Twin today with the Keis jacket on . Really only need to be switched on below 10 degrees . Was 8 today . Brilliant bits of kit . As a gym visitor I , against the instructions , just wear a t shirt underneath as a sleeved under garment is way too restrictive , with the close fit that is recommended . Once you ride with one you will
    Wonder why you didn’t have one many years ago . Oh they look good off the bike too . 👍👍👍👍👍

      Hey mate. Yes agree, that below 10 degrees is only when really needed. As you say, a bit of kit that once you try, most will ask why they did't invest sooner. Thanks for watching and your comments. Cheers. Billy

    I’ll have to pick up the flex version. That was my only niggle was the stiffness under my Carlsbad Jacket. But it did perform very well without being turned on because of it. The previous thicker version was a game changer as you said. Purchased last Spring, and gloves in late summer.
    I won’t ride in the cold without this kit.

      Hey thanks for watching and your comments. It's definitely one of those things we didn't know we needed until we tried it. Touring in the cold, it's my go to choice. Stay warm 🙌 cheers. Billy

    Have to say fella, absolute bloody game changer. Especially in Norway even in mid July.....

      Ah mate, I bet its even more appreciated in Norway on or off the bike. Ride safe this winter. Thanks for watching. Cheers. Billy

    Thanks for a very informative video. I just wondered how the jacket comes up size wise. When I purchased the the Keis V501RP gilet I have, I had to go down to a small where I am normally a medium / large. Keep up the good work. Cheers.

      Hey Peter. Thanks for watching and your comments! I am normally an XL and wear a large in the Keis heated jacket to ensure a sung fit. So from what you have said its the same for you. Cheers Billy

      So if 104 chest is M/size 42 on the chart, you need to order a S size right?
      The "M" isn't already more snug as an S?

    • @BillysBikeAdventures
      @BillysBikeAdventures  Před 5 měsíci +1

      That's correct. It will feel snug but not restrictive. 👍

      Hi there and apologies for slow reply. I usually wear an XL but for this garment i wear a L as i want it to be a snug fit under my motorcycle jacket. Hope that helps. Cheers. Billy

    nice video. Would this work with Jackets that have thier waterproof layer under the normal jacket?

    • @BillysBikeAdventures
      @BillysBikeAdventures  Před 5 měsíci

      If it's a thin layer then you should be ok. The Keis jacket is less forgiving than a inner thermal jacket. I wear a size smaller than my normal t-shirt jacket size for a sung fit

    How long is the controller cable, as a lot of outer jackets/ pants are zipped together and just thinking if this is designed long enough to ‘pop’ out of the gap of the zipper?
    Thanks

    • @BillysBikeAdventures
      @BillysBikeAdventures  Před měsícem

      Hey. Good question. Its long enough to hang below the bottom of my Dainese adventure jacket. You should not have an issue. Cheers. Billy

      @@BillysBikeAdventures thanks for replying. With that being said, what is the controller made of (rubber/ plastic)? Is there a chance of it marking the tank (where the bottom of your jacket rests) thanks again

    Hi, thanks for the review, before I purchase, was this sent to you free of charge or is the review based on you spending £220 on it, would be good to know.👍

      Hi David. Thanks for watching and your question. This one was sent to me free of charge. But the other jacket I have from Kris I paid for myself. I would not put out recommendations if I thought the kit was no good. When I test kit that is sent to me, if I don't think it works then I don't put it on my channel and send it back to the company. So happy to give my recommendation on the Keis jacket. Cheers. Billy

    I want to ride year round. In my area it gets down to ~0deg for a few weeks/month and is in the 30s or lower for roughly 2 months. I want to be able to go ride comfortably for as long as I'd like. Will this get me there? Should I go with the 505 Premium version? Are the 701 gloves going to get me there?

    • @BillysBikeAdventures
      @BillysBikeAdventures  Před 5 hodinami

      Hey there and thanks for watching and your comments / questions. Either of the jackets will get you there. I have also had the 505 Premium and very good. The key difference between the two is that the 505 has thicker sleeves than the ultaflex so provides a little more comfort, but honestly either are great. The gloves are pretty good in the winter without the heat on but when you combine the jacket and the gloves together, its awesomely warm. I have no problem recommending these products. Cheers. Billy

    I've had three keis heated jackets, all have had cable failure which isn't covered by the lifetime warranty. Not impressed with longevity. All Keis say is we'll give you a 10 percent discount on ANOTHER £200 jacket.

    • @CJ125UK
      @CJ125UK Před 3 měsíci

      Another plus one for the cable failure here. Spent over £1200 on Keis gear at full RRP and they wouldn't even give me any discount on a new pair of trousers because the fudged adaptor I have to use between the old design and new socks kept either coming loose or getting on my nerves in my boots! Nice to see Keis handing out complete freebies! TBH I wish I had gone down the Gerbing route but spent so much on Keis it would cost to much to change now!
